Lovely little place in what feels like a very isolated location but is only 5 mins off the main road to Bowness / Windermere. The suites are relatively small but very cosy and the layout with the bed being on a mezzanine deck is very...More

Lovely cosy place serving food that is very appealing. Spoilt for choice between venison haunch, pheasant burger, macaroni cheese, risotto, I went for the ribs. They did not disappoint! Staff good, coal fire, lovely place to be!

Breakfast was not included when we stayed. Breakfast is only served from 9.30am so a bit late if you want an early start We did have breakfast one morning and it was very nice and not an excessive price

Don't know if under new management. Certainly had work done during the last year. We found the food good a few weeks ago. The only down side is that it is very popular, and eating in the bar is not very civilised, as they... More
