We arrived late tired and dirty after a day of hiking the coast to coast. We were warmly welcomed to a beautiful tranquil modern oasis. A fine hotel disguised as a B&B. Our every need was cared for with impeccable detail. Not one thing could be improved. Breakfast was delicious our packed lunch fantastic. We even accidentally left a rain...

We enjoyed our visit to Ghyll Farm. We stayed two nights and couldn't find fault. It is in a super location with great views over Ennerdale. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, with coffee and tea making facilities and the shower was excellent. The wifi is free and works well. There was a...

We stayed here for Easter weekend for two nights. Fabulous location, totally away from everything feel. Roger and Christine were excellent hosts, professional but also very friendly and welcoming. Room was lovely, all facilities you could need (lovely soft towels), tea/coffee making, tv and toiletries. Breakfast was very good and definitely set you up for a days walking. Roger was...

We had booked Ghyll Farm B&B for the end of our first day of the coast to coast. Having started late, we walked hard and were just looking forward to a warm shower and a comfortable bed, but we got far more! The rooms were immaculate with stunning views. The shower was luxurious and the the beds very comfy. Our...

Very comfortable and spacious self contained rooms with fabulous views of the hills as well as spectacular night skies. Only a few minutes drive off the main road past a few other farms but you really do feel like you are in the middle of no-where even though the village is only a ten minute walk. The owners were very...

Beautiful house inside a natural environment, closed to one, of many lakes in the area. It was windy and raining when we arrived, and Roger went out to help us, when he saw us through the window. In most of the B&B, you have a guests room, but this one is different. You have your own private apartment with your...

Travelling later than anticipated, we were contacted on the telephone by our host who recommended places to eat along our journey and met us on arrival. The room was beautifully decorated, a self contained room with on suite and a lovely seating area outside with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. So peaceful and relaxing just what we needed. Excellent...
