My husband and I spent 2 wonderful days at this hotel and find it very difficult in understanding some of the unjust reviews posted on this site. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel is very dog friendly and the staff made such a fuss of my pet who at times is very boisterous. I can not praise...

stayed 4 nights on a deal and can honestly say that it was as good as any of the getaways we have done though wowcher or living social - 20 plus and counting... the weather let us down - rained all 4 days but the jewel in the crown for us was the staff - reception very welcoming and chatty...

Our second visit to the Ennerdale Country House Hotel. The customer service was fabulous. The reception staff are very welcoming as is all the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast was great and so was the accommodation. Very dog friendly. They even remembered us from last year. Facilities are excellent and the grounds are exquisite. Very...

Stayed here on a wowcher deal ..no negatives at all. Unfortunately some reviews are just not justified . The rooms are comfortable everything you need for a few nights tea coffee biscuits which were replenished when we asked. On arrival it was lovely to have a bottle of prosecco on ice in the room . The restaurant food was amazing...

We booked this hotel through SocialLiving and it was great value. The price was so reasonable I wondered how the hotel would be, but it did not disappoint. The staff were excellent, always very pleasant and helpful. The hotel, although old,has character and charm. The dining experience first class and a great breakfast to set you up for your day...

My husband and I spent a lovely weekend 10.02.2017. Beth, the receptionist was extremely friendly and attentive as we're the other staff members. Our room was quirky/small and comfortable, as well as the building (quirky), which my husband and I both love. For evening dinner, I ordered salmon, which was delicious, and my husband had the lamb shank, which was...

A wonderful friendly hotel .We were thrilled to see Dogs there. Food excellent. Staff lovely and very obliging.Decor in room could do with updating. Sash windows rotten, noisy traffic going past our room. A new window would make a massive difference. On the whole a very good hotel. We would definitely like to visit again one day maybe.

This review is based on a wowcher deal, which made the experience good value for money, however if I had paid full price, I would have been very unhappy. Tip 1: Do not accept room 22, unless you like the smell of dog and you are a heavy sleeper (the main road is extremely close to an inadequate window)The room...
