Although we only had one night here we wish it could have been longer. Lovely accommodation and great breakfast that kept us going all day! Joanne was a great hostess and her husband great for chatting to us about the herdwicks - a sheep that we love so it was wonderful to see them all in their natural environment. The...

Stayed here for a weekend away. It's perfectly located to explore Borrowdale and whilst it is part of a small village it feels delightfully remote. Joanne was very welcoming and attentive and cooks a delicious full English breakfast! The cottage is quaint and cozy and if the weather turns bad there is a great selection of board games!

Stayed here for 1 night on c 2 c. It's a beautiful old building and rooms are traditionally furnished and in character with the rest of the house. There is no TV and I don't think we had wifi so definately away from it all. Guests have use of a comfortable lounge which is a bonus. Fantastic breakfast, sausages have...

Once again my wife and I had the pleasure to stay with Hazel and Joe Ralph at their B&B, situated in a quiet location overlooking a valley with the back of the mountains this place is bliss, with a friendly welcome Hazel showed us to our room, up the well worn stone stairs and thought the bedroom door you have...

Yew tree farm continues it's standard of excellence. The rooms are comfortable, the welcome warm and the breakfasts are delicious. There is free Wi-Fi available (a boon as the phone signal is poor), the location is great, with stunning views of the Borrowdale valley

Fantastic stay as usual, a peaceful escape from the rat race. I see some other reviewers complaining about the set breakfast time - but this is after all someone's house not a hotel. Travelodge will give you breakfast any time - but here it is actually worth waiting for.

We stayed on route of our coast to coast walk. A beautiful farm house comfortable bedroom and plenty of hot water for the bath. The breakfast was the best ever with delicious proper thick bacon and tasty sausages with black pudding in them. The breakfast room was high class with lace cloths and china and the service at breakfast great.

“This B&B is on one of the many walking trails around Keswick, you can leave your car here and take part in several local walks, there is a tea/cafe attached to the B&B where they serve a lamb stew made their own Herdwick Lambs as well as scones and cakes, this is a great place to get away from it all and live the good and simple life, we are staying here again on our return journey back home, looking forward to it.”
