We enjoyed a really relaxing break and booked a Saturday Night for the Family room. The decor is authentic country hall style. Our meals were good value and we managed a really peaceful nights sleep in comfy beds. The staff are a mix of local and hard working euros so you can be assured of polite helpfull assistance in all...

We arrived mid afternoon. Booked in and we're shown to our room by Sarah. All staff very helpful and friendly after chilling out we went down to the bar and had a few drinks then dinner. Which was excellent. Goats cheese souffle, then steak and trimmings. Followed by lemon tart. All well cooked and served. Later we will be in...

We stayed here for three nights while I walked Issac's Tea Trail. The hotel is in a lovely quiet spot, and the staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Breakfast was fine, just as would be expected, and the bar meals were also very good with generous portions. All in all a very enjoyable short stay in a...

Had a surprise night away for our anniversary at this remote hotel. What a lovely quiet setting. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our room ..room 19 ..spacious with a four poster bed, huge en suite, seating area and incredible views. The Prosecco we had ordered was arranged on the dresser with rose petals scattered around. A lovely touch....

Really enjoyed a 2-day out of season break here. Good location, comfortable quiet room, nice bar, basic but good pub food, nice breakfasts. Particularly friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Things to do? Walking, visit Alston, walk through the abandoned lead mines and Nenthead (stopping at the Overwater restaurant for lunch or dinner), biking. The separate 'dog friendly' wing and lounge...

Positives first; the staff were very friendly and the food was ok, but the hotel had seen better days. It was a beautiful old building, but it all needed a complete refurbishment, everything looked very run down and there was a pervading musty smell in most areas. The bar area was perhaps the worst; uncomfortable seating and it took a...

Welcoming and warm, quirky and quite, friendly and fun, Nent Hall is an excellent place for a weekend getaway or a short midweek break. Very dog friendly, they provide a separate lounge and eating area should you wish to dine with your dog, and generally place pet owners in an annex with direct garden access. However unlike some hotels which...

Arrived quite late in the afternoon to a lovely warm room and a friendly welcome from the staff. We stayed in the tower room which is huge and full of old world charm and character. We enjoyed sitting in front of the log fire in the bar and realised that we were the only people staying in the hotel that...
