One of the most friendly places I have stayed. Ample parking at this premises and easy to find. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the cooking is just great. Lovely views and I will be staying again in the future.

I stay here once a year and always enjoy my visit. It is in an old building that has not been overly modernised. Rooms are basic and functional. Food is great and there is always a warm welcome from Jim and Janice. Parking is okay in their yard. The towncentre is easily walkable. The hotel has lots of stairs and...

We had a lovely 2 night stay at lowbyer. Very welcoming hosts and a great location. The BnB is very homely and is currently under going work to the lounge. Breakfast was tasty and cooked to a time to suit. Cannot comment on the evening meal as it wasn't being served on the two nights we were there. The bar...

They have retained the homely, comfy style and feel of the place but added a warmth and friendliness which was great. Evening meal was very nice and great...

We had the angling association annual awards here last night, and it was a really good night. Nice supper of soup, hot beef sandwiches and fries. A good selection of drinks available. Excellent hosts and friendly efficient staff. Would recommend for a meal.

Clean rooms, the most welcoming atmosphere, a lovely cosy bar, the food was amazing value, with breakfast to rival any hotel I've stayed in. It's a bit like staying with non-intrusive family! Hope I get the chance to revisit.

We stayed here as a last minute booking for New Years Eve. After a long drive for us it was nice to be given such a warm welcome. The room big with a nice comfy bed. The ensuite was a tad small having said that the shower was nice and big. The breakfast was a great way to start the...
