I stayed at Peckforton Castle for one night. Staff are very nice and the Castle is brilliant lovely rooms with four poster bed A lot of stairs so maybe not good if you have serious mobility issues. Great restaurant but book early as it's very popular.

My partner and I were fortunate to be treated to a 2 night break at Peckforton Castle last weekend as a birthday gift. The castle is in a stunning setting and surrounded by woodland which is perfect for Landrover running their off road experience here, which unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity of experiencing. The castle also has a spa... More

I stayed here last night and enjoyed the location, evening meal at 1851 and the breakfast but unfortunately the room let the stay down. The room (603) was in need of general refurb but the worst was the mattress which felt like it was as old as the hotel. For my wife and I it was our first night away... More

We were shown to our room by the painter and decorator who was painting in our room, but happened to be in the hotel reception as we were checking in. He showed us to our room and said he would be out of there within 5 minutes (which to be fair he was). But left us with a patched up... More

Just stayed one night on a evening meal, bed and breakfast package. The Castle is amazing. The evening meal was fantastic. Breakfast was good but had to wait for cooked items to be topped up. The room was excellent but there was a lot of mold in the bathroom which did smell a bit I would return

I stayed here with my mum and we both had a fantastic meal and the best sleep I've ever had. The staff were friendly and for such a grand building it did not feel too formal. I was pleasantly surprised. The food is fantastic.

We visited tranquility 27/11 on a spa day, I can't praise the place and staff enough. The facilities and treatments were brilliant and the girls were fantastic and chatty, and managed to fit us in last minute for more treatments. Lovely lunch and prosecco too! Thank you! We will be back!

Peckforton castle is a majestic retreat in the rolling hills of west England, Cheshire. The staff were amazing and really made my girlfriend feel like a princess. I can't give enough praise for the experience I had. All arranged over the phone and everything was booked in for a 'his & her getaway'. Checked in... easy. Had a spa treatment which was so chilled and I had so much fun being the guy in the hot tub. The Hen Do there were a laugh too... all in... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Peckforton Castle - An enchanting Hotel in the heart of Cheshire. Rising majestically above the Cheshire landscape, the castle is both enigmatic and enchanting. Originally the home of Lord Tollemache and built in the early 19th Century, this Grade I listed building is the only intact medieval style Castle in the country. Over the years the castle has been the location for numerous movies including Robin Hood and Dr Who. Now owned by the Naylor family, the stunning exterior has been complemented by a loving and considered restoration programme resulting in a magnificent hotel and venue offering contemporary luxury and impeccable service. Services include 48 stunning individual guest rooms, conference, events, and wedding facilities for up to 180. Tranquility beauty, on site Falconry and team activities all adding up to a rather magical experience. Dining at the Castle truly is a special occasion, welcoming the public as well as hotel guests. The 1851 Restaurant offers a dining experience fit for royalty. Holder of 3 AA Rosettes and a Taste Cheshire Award. Alternatively the more informal and cosmopolitan 2010 Brasserie, located in the former scullery of the castle, features many of the amazing features of the original scullery including two cast iron cooking ranges dating back to the 1840's. Peckforton Castle's enchanting medieval style beauty and stunning location make it a truly impressive and desirable venue for weddings, christenings, birthday parties, or just about anything that's worth celebrating. Everything plays a part; the fabulous setting, stunning location, the attentive service and smiling faces, the bespoke menus and decorations. A magnificent venue for conferencing and meetings. Within the medieval walls, old and new combine seamlessly to offer state of the art multi media and conference facilities. Captivating on arrival, Peckforton Castle's unspoilt, natural beauty will stimulate and motivate, delight the eye, inspire the mind, tantalise the taste buds and leave you enchanted. ... more   less
