Stayed for I night on a voucher deal, first impression from the outside was very impressive beautiful building in a lovely area. Receptionist was very welcoming and explained everything. Our room was on the first floor, was large with 2 armchairs, although we were happy with the room it did need an update as there was crayon on the carpet...

We thought this beautiful old place would be a nice place for a late lunch. When we went in it was pretty empty, and lunch was over, but we were offered a short sandwich list. We ordered ham and tomato on brown bread worth chips. It was nice enough, but we were expecting bit more, well gourmet. The ham was...

The hotel was spacious and quite tidy. The room was large but in need of a bit of TLC. The meal in the evening was good however the breakfast was disappointing with very cheap ingredients. There was not enough staff you always seemed to be waiting to be served. The receptionist during checkout was extremely rude and put a big...

We've just returned from an overnight stay at the Wild Boar, using a groupon voucher for bed, breakfast and evening meal, which we also upgraded to a suite with four poster bed at an additional cost. We were disappointed to find the room wasn't as ready as we would have liked (windowsills needed cleaning) but we notified reception of this...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night as part of a break away to Chester. It was a wonderful experience and fantastic value for money. The 3 course dinner was delicious- I had chicken supreme which was tasty. The breakfast was also lovely which offered a wide variety of food. I can't wait to stay there again soon.

Good value if u can get a groupon deal. Unable to get wifi downstairs and the mattress in our room was rather bouncy and springy, needs a new one!! Better nights sleep in a travel lodge or premiere inn. Rooms are large with seating area.

We came as a family group on a Groupon deal. We were not very impressed with our room. On entering the room there was an unpleasant smell which I think may have been coming from the shower curtain. Although the room was spacious and big enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers it did need a bit of attention, ie...

We came as a family group. At first impression the inn is very beautiful but is in need of a bit of TLC! The main bar area is really its only let-down its very old-fashioned and is not in keeping with the rest of the hotel, which is lovely! In the evening we ate in the main restaurant which was...
