We were moved here after a disaster at another hotel. The staff here were friendly, professional and helpful. The room we stayed in was comfortable and beautifully presented. We arrived late and the receptionist phoned local restaurants to find us somewhere to celebrate my birthday meal. We had breakfast served in our room which was also fantastic. My husband also...

We stayed here for my wife’s birthday. What a great hotel, it has a cosy, romantic feel to it and were instantly impressed with our room (Minerva). We had a meal locally and a couple of drinks at Admiral Rodney then enjoyed a night cap at the hotels honest bar before using the steam room in our bedroom then settling...

The magazine review in the hotel lobby was entitled 'best breaks for under £50 a night' and it was dated June 1999. I think the only things that changed since then was an 85% price increase. The room itself cost my wife and I £150 per night and breakfast wasn't included. I would have much rather stayed at a homely...

My husband and I stayed here for one night, Saturday 18th October in the Crystal Room. Check in was quick and efficient by lovely staff. Our room was beautiful with a 4 poster bed and stunning furnishings. The bathroom was again very well appointed with lovely toiletries. Amazing bath with various hydra jet settings. Its just a short walk into...

Like an earlier reviewer, we visited this hotel while in Prestbury for a wedding, last weekend. It is quite small, (and red brick, rather than white!) but beautifully furnished and set in attractive gardens. Our room (The Studio) was large and comfortable, if a little dark due to having just a single, smallish window. The cooked breakfasts were beautifully prepared...

We stayed here to attend a wedding nearby. From the moment I rang to book until we checked out I found the service and staff to be outstanding, Nothing was too much trouble and the staff very professional. The setting and the building were beautiful as was the room we had. We stayed in the Chantilly suite which is on...

Needed a short break and booked this hotel. With only 12 rooms it was just what we needed. The hotel was charming and a true delight with all the rooms different. We even had a steam spa in our room. We could have opted for breakfast in our room but chose to have it in the lovely conservatory which we...

My girlfriend and I stayed at The White House Manor for 3 nights whilst visiting the area and the hotel was superb!! The building is charming from the outside, set in a very nice location in Prestbury. We stayed in the Miverna room on the top floor and this was impeccably decorated with a Turkish steam room to boot!! The...

This was a truly wonderful find on a budget in the north of England. Sadly I was staying there on business and couldn't enjoy the hotel and the local area as much as I'd have liked but this was a beautiful place with antique furniture in a lovely location with staff who were very friendly and helpful. The honesty bar...
