The White House Manor is located in the old part of Prestbury, near the main car park. As its own car park is rather small we ended up parking there some of the time. The whole establishment consists of the reception area, bedrooms and a small conservatory which doubles up as a breakfast room and drinking venue. The reception closes after 11 pm. Our room, Chantilly, was of standard size with a small foyer leading to a separate bathroom. The room also boasts the only private garden in the hotel, which would be great in good weather. The room was nicely furnished, with a round table, huge wardrobe and a cupboard with glass shelves. The bed had two mattresses stacked up which made it very tall, perhaps too tall for some. Tea and coffee facilities were provided upon request. WiFi signal quality was good. The inclusive breakfast was very simple; tea, bread and jam: no cheeses nor meats so if you like it more substantial you will have to go for chargeable options. There was an honesty bar in the conservatory. Despite the lack of many facilities the White House provided us with all that we needed in the current circumstances. Staff were very friendly and helpful and did everything necessary to maintain the required Covid standards. We enjoyed our stay in The White House Manor but were left wondering, apart from the price, how the hotel differed from a posh bed and breakfast.…
Just got back from a weekend getaway to escape all things coronavirus and what a lovely find White house manor is. Situated in the small village of Prestbury it really is a gem and close to some fantastic pubs and restaurants. From the moment we arrived all staff were welcoming and super friendly. We stayed in the aphrodite room and it was gorgeous and added bonus for us was being able to have breakfast in our room. All the staff are working so hard to make sure all covid rules are applied but also make your stay feel as normal as possible too. I really can't recommend enough. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.
Wow! Just returned home after a 3 night stay at this hotel. We had booked to stay at another well known hotel nearby but they cancelled on us 2 days before we were due to go so we frantically searched for somewhere else nearby and my husband found the White House Manor and we are so glad he did! This hotel is fab! Staff (all of them) are truly an asset to this hotel - so chatty, polite and showed a genuine interest - I've never met better hotel staff ever! The room was lovely, maybe a little dated for some but I found it quirky and lovely and so clean! And breakfast! Well you will not be disappointed! Really is a fabulous little hidden gem and I really hope we get to visit again! This hotel has set such high standards for me now and I'm really not sure anywhere else will match! Thank you for making our 1st post lockdown trip an enjoyable one! :) …
I stayed there last week, it is a small hotel but providing a 5 Stae PLUS service and quality - the room decor is of the highest standards - the breakfast is cooked fresh usuing only locally produced fayre Staff are excellent - superb value for money
The hotel was clean and the grounds spacious. Our room was of a good size with its own private courtyard garden. We didn’t eat here so can’t comment on the food. The only negatives from our point of view are: we felt the hotel was a little pricey compared to others of a similar standard we have stayed at. Prestbury is a small village off the beaten track, but despite this we found the main road through the village surprisingly busy with a number of speeding cars.
