I was truly amazed! Doesn't look like much on the outside and even first impressions on the inside can be a bit trepidatious, but the rooms were very nice; spacious, nicely decorated and clean. Add the real fire blazing in the rustic pub area, the friendly staff and the fantastic food and you've got something that rivals the mass produced... More

We stayed at the Boars Head Hotel for 1 night in a family room (room 8) on Saturday 8th October. We were really pleased by the price, size and comfort of the room which included a huge on-suite bathroom and the delicious breakfast the next morning. The room was lovely and warm with comfortable beds and had been cleaned to... More

Very friendly and helpful staff. Varied menu, well kept ales, nothing fancy, sensibly priced. Ideally located for access to the M6, not too far from the Peak district, Manchester Airport, Jodrell Bank and nice walks alongside the local canal/river Croc which our four legged friend member of the family enjoyed. The room in which we stayed was comfortable and clean... More

room location was terrible as it was next to a busy road, and each night i was woken up by very noisy traffic, apart from that the staff and hotel are great. nice village to visit aswell, and hany as it is not far off the m6

The Boars Head was always my first (to fifth) pint of Robinsons after a game of squash - I can still taste it!! Pleased to report that the Robbies is just as good as I remember it however, the hospitality and surroundings are a great improvement. So pleased that some things get even better!!

Town centre location, we a a beautiful recently refurbished room, front of the hotel so traffic noise but to be expected from central location. Great breakfast, choice of cereal, toast and preserves and full cooked breakfast, tea and coffee. Special mention to Liz, the landlady, went out of her way to help us out of a situation, thanks again Liz

Booked for an overnight stay - arrived late and guided by helpful Carole to 1st floor room at the front of hotel. Room clean but a bit dusty in places, and toilet seat loose. Lots of traffic noise - surprisingly busy all through night and early morning. Excellent breakfast and service from very helpful Natalie. Good location close to M6... More

I had been to winsford to work for the weekend but could not find anywhere local ended up staying here, and I couldn't have been happier that this was my only choice. Was welcomed from the moment I came through the door. Which was late at night seeming as I had been working till nearly midnight every night I stayed... More
