Just come back from a night away .We found a nice warm welcome from the staff .The decor is traditional with a modern twist .Our room was small but adequate.Decor is nice neutral and very clean. We both found the bed extremely comfortable and shower was powerful .Full English Breakfast was excellent. Would recommend The Boars Head to family and friends

Spent an early evening here watching 6 nations rugby with friends. We stayed after the match and had a great meal. The chips are amazing and meal portions excellent. We will definitely be going back. The meals are very good value and excellently cooked.

Room clean and comfortable, spacious.Bathroom shower was ace.Seating and areas to relax. Although rooms above a pub was not disturbed by noise Staff friendly and nothing too much trouble.Would happily stay again. This is an old building which has been sympathetically modernised.A lot of the old features remain but the decoration suits and is modern.

Pub lovely and warm . Nice real fire . Staff very friendly Eaten here twice when passing through. Food is ok . But overpriced for what you get . The boars head big mix grill with all the trimmings ...what exactly does that mean . Nothing on menu of what you get .. I ordered this and 20 minutes later...

We had a lovely short stay over on New Years eve, everyone very friendly, clean room with a lovely end suite, and a really good cooked breakfast the next morning; much needed on New Years day! We will definitely use the hotel again.

Fantastic hotel, rooms great but the thing that makes the Boars Head outstanding is undoubtably the staff, who for our entire stay went above and beyond - even when our taxi got cancelled! They helped us get to our destination. Would recommend them 100 times over.

My partner and I Stayed here for one night as we were venturing into Manchester for the day the following day, it's a convenient location and within walking distance of the local town. We were very surprised by how modern and clean the hotel room was and the bathroom of same good standard. Great value for money and the breakfast...
