The cottage is snug but every space is put to good use and feels very ‘ship shape’. Jeff is an ideal host, telling you to help yourself to tea and coffee and explaining exactly where to find cereals and toast. It feels like staying with a friend. We took our small Westie dog and I think he enjoyed the stay... More

Stayed overnight here recently. This is a lovely, quirky little place and the room we stayed in was immaculate with a large, comfy bed. Jeff made us feel very welcome and fresh bread and cereals set us up for our journey home the following morning. What a great place to stop over, tucked away in a quiet corner of Winslow.... More

I stayed at the old stables B&B for just the one night. I found the owner to be very pleasant and welcoming. I took my very small dog along and she was welcomed too. The room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed. I was told if I wanted tea or anything during my stay, I was to just... More

...well that's how it seemed to be. I visited on business in June and had to ring in advance to pay over the phone. The owner explained that he wouldn't be there when I got there but if I could ring someone else she would let me in. I rang. I was let in. Nice enough lady. I was shown... More

We once again returned to The Old Stables to stay during our annual judging visit to Addington Manor Equestrian Centre. We worked out that this was probably our 8th year staying here and as ever we book for next year as we leave as we really couldn't wish for anywhere better. Jeff provides an excellent, relaxed and comfortable base for... More

Jeff is very welcoming, and his home is beautifully restored, I liked his little antique and curios around the place. The little garden to the rear is charming but needs cleaning and tidying and some tlc He encourages one to make oneself at home, coffee/tea/fruit is available to take. The bedroom was quaint, up a very old wooden staircase, it... More

Whatever you think of this place , nothing will sway you from the fantastic location and general ambience. Ok it may need a little spent to stop it looking a little "unloved" but overall it is a great place to stay. Breakfast is what it is, cereal toast and coffee. Lovely to sit around a nice table with family before... More

Stayed in Jeff's lovely home for 3 nights and was greeted and looked after by the lovely Emma. What a beautiful place to stay and made to feel very at home. Our bedroom was lovely and very tastefully decorated and furnished with an extremely comfortable bed and the en suite had one of the best showers I have ever had.... More

We had a lovely welcome from Jeff and met Zoe his dog. The cottage is beautifully decorated with all the amenities we needed. Jeff was also extremely gracious as we were slightly later than planned. Jeff explained that he would be away for the night and that someone would be there to help us with breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately... More

We had a great time - thank you! A much needed winddown in a lovely, relaxing place. The room was really spacious with a lovely view of the garden and we were left alone to come and go as we pleased. Breakfast was really nice and Jeff was very laid back about timings...This worked wonderfully for a lie in! Would... More
