After an amazing two night stay at the Cliveden House, the four couples we were traveling with moved to the sister property of Chewton Glen in New Milton. I realized I had left my passport in the room safe at Cliveden. I was amazed at the 'above and beyond' service that the front desk woman at Chewton Glen and the...

Very rarely does any hotel surprise me with such a sense of history, comfort and service, for the first time in my travelling experience, a hotel has captured the essence of what it must have been like to live and experience the fabulous wealth and privilege of the wealthy elite of a bygone age, along with the level of top...

Your review tells me you totally "get" Cliveden, the House, the Heritage and the sense of place. Your words made me smile and feel very proud of our beautiful House. From your kind words I think we may just have crept into your hearts. I very much hope that is the case and that the romance you have with Cliveden...

Gorgeous hotel in fantastic grounds. I was there in July on a works event. We had private dining. The food was amazing, wine was amazing, we just had a fantastic night. I was met at my car upon arrival and my luggage taken straight away to my room. When I was ready to come down to meet my colleagues I...

Thank you to your employer for bringing you to our door, what a considerate boss ;) I hope the work conducted was successful and that your surroundings inspired you all. I am so pleased you left us having had a very positive experience. Perhaps we should become an annual works event, do you think you can persuade the boss? :)...

Spent an afternoon in this beautiful hotel and garden. Great location for an afternoon tea after lunch in Henley-on-Thames. Just make sure you book in advance to get the best out of your visit. For example not all the cakes were available on short notice. But still a great experience.

Brilliant 2 night stay for a wedding taking place on the Saturday . Exceptional service from check in to departure . We stayed in the Winde room that wasn't in the main building, it had more of a modern style than the other rooms and a fabulous bathroom- great room but disappointing views compared to the rooms of other members...

Delivering "The" view of the Parterre for all our guests would be the dream, as there is nothing like waking up to that view. That said the greater number of our rooms do look out to one vista of the Estate or another and they all have their charm. Thank you for you lovely review and we hope that then...

We were booked into Cliveden for a family celebration just for one night and my expectations were really high. Such an iconic place and the website is to say the least, delicious! We arrived at about lunchtime and were not really surprised that our room wasn't ready so this wasn't a problem, even though we were told it would be...

It is us that is sorry, we are very disappointed to learn of your disappointment. The room is one of just a couple that we are yet to refurbish and these will be addressed very soon. We were actually full, some of the rooms did not have names displayed as we had a particular party who did not wish to...

This property is stunning. Before it became a hotel, my mother lived here during the days it was an overseas exchange with Stanford, and we sentimentally returned for lunch on a recent trip to the area and were blown away. We dined in the beautiful dining room that looked out upon the well-landscaped grounds, which in the summer months was...

There are so many reasons to come & visit us but sentimentality is a very good one. How interesting to hear about your mothers time as a Stanford Student. How different the house must have been then and how interesting it would be to have been able to see it through her eyes. Thank you for coming to visit us....

It is a real experience staying and dining here. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were thoroughly pampered. To include the warmest of welcome's, exceptional service, a simply stunning setting, an exquisite dinner and breakfast, a sumptuous beautiful suite and warming our car on a cold morning prior to our departure. Fabulous but make sure...

We invited my sister and her husband for Sunday Lunch at The Cliveden and it didn't disappoint. The welcome was warm and friendly and the Great Hall is a wonderful place for pre-lunch/dinner drinks. I would imagine it's lovely in the winter too. The nibbles and 3 courses were excellent, the latter enjoyed at a table for four overlooking the...
