Excellent ground floor rooms, lovely and warm on arrival, could not park outside but Daniel helped us with luggage from nearby free car park. Kerry, James and all the staff very friendly and helpful. Good food, excellent real ale and very friendly locals in the pub who made us feel welcome. The breakfast was very good, especially Kerry's scrambled eggs!...

I really wanted to give this an 'excellent' rating, but the room let it down. It was clean enough, but was actually the ground floor of a Victorian(?) cottage next door to the pub; it was right on the road, and had a rattly front door. Minimal traffic noise overnight, but it did start about 6.30 in the morning. This...

Regular visitor to this lovely old inn in Old Amersham. Great for light lunches or main meals. Healthy (large) portions served by very friendly staff beside a roaring log fire when the weather warrants it.

Spent 2 nights in a room that wasn't the cleanest. Sheets and towels clean but ensuite needed to be blitzed with some Mr Muscle or similar cleaner. The only place to hang anything up was a cupboard full of folding beds. However, breakfast was hot and not greasy and plentiful.

Classic Chilterns pub with fantastic staff, great breakfast. Ideal overnight on route to Heathrow, with comfortable en suite bedrooms. We felt it was also suitable for families as it had a great, friendly atmosphere. 8/10 will visit again.

Had the pleasure recently to stay at one of the best pubs / inns I've ever experienced - The Saracen's Head in Amersham. The pub is genuine, cosy and extremely friendly while my room was warm, clean and very comfortable. The highlight, though, is The Saracen's larger than life landlord, Kerry. He'll extend you the warmest welcome in the Chilterns...

Very smart room. The staff are all wonderful characters and the breakfast was nothing short of first class. You are made to feel so very welcome in a proper style old fashioned traditional pub. A very easy recommendation to make.

We stayed only 1 night but was made very welcome. Full cooked breakfast was very good. The cottage we stayed in was lovely and clean and as it was quite cold outside heating was on to make us feel welcome. Bed comfortable and was able to make a cuppa. The only thing was we only had 1 hand towel but...

My mother and I spent 10 wonderful days staying in this traditional country inn tucked away down a side street in Old Amersham. Kerry and all the staff were terrific, they made us feel so welcome and were genuinely interested in all our exploits as we visited friends in the local area. The boys behind the bar were terrific and...
