We loved our stay at Casa Hamaca! Denis and staff took such good care of us, rooms were great and the beds really comfortable. Location is an easy walk to the central square and restaurants. But what made Casa Hamaca truly special was the friendly atmosphere Denis fosters amongst his guests. We have very fond memories of the time we...

Casa Hamaca was a great place to stay for our two nights in Valladolid, which was itself a pleasant surprise of a city. The guest house is set back in a well-landscaped 'jungle' of a front yard and boasts a very solid restaurant, a helpful and professional staff, a friendly owner, and the most consistent hot water we found in...

Casa Hamaca is an beautiful and comfortable oasis in the city. The rooms are very spacious with great linens, beautiful artwork and air conditioning. We loved coming back after a day of sight seeing. The owner, Denis, was very helpful recommending and arranging sightseeing. A restaurant and bar are on the property. This was convenient for happy hour and delicious...

When going to Valladolid you must stay here! It was amazing! The food was so great the staff was so so friendly! I recommend getting the massage and facial while there. The staff helped us plan our days and told us the fun attractions. The grounds are so beautiful. Gardens and trees everywhere. I will definitely be back for years...

Very clean, safe, walking distance from the main plaza. Used it as base for 2 nights to go to day trips to Ek Balam, Río Lagartos and the night show in Chichén Itzá. Denis has a jewel in his hands, and if I'm ever in Valladolid I'll definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful time in this very special guesthouse. We arrived from the previous city in the mid afternoon; it was raining, we were a bit fatigued from travelling. We met Denis, the owner, and chatted about our plans for the days ahead. He recommended that we talk to guests a day or two ahead of us about what...

It was in the second week of December that four us stayed at Casa Hamaca for three nights. The grounds were lovely. High marks for the landscaping as well as the wide veranda and pool area. Chairs, tables and even a hamaca(hammock) made for comfortable outdoor lounging, reading, and computing. There was a nice collection of books relevant to the...

The Casa Hamaca is possibly the nicest place I've ever stayed. Denis has put his heart and soul into this hacienda and it shows. Walls adorned with Mexican and Mayan artefacts, carvings, sculptures and photographs. The rooms? Well what can I say? We stayed in the Stone Room. Wall decorated with Mayan symbols, A huge bed with frame made of...

We decided to stay here (in July, 2016) when we came to visit Chichen Itza from Cancun, based on a friend's recommendation. It was a fabulous, not your typical hotel kind of stay. The hotel is filled with local art and the rooms have paintings on the wall too. The rooms were clean and spacious, staff super friendly and the...
