We spent three nights at Maria de Luz, using the hotel as a base to explore nearby Mayan sites. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We were in a 2nd floor room facing the courtyard (so no exterior window). The room was large and clean. The a/c and shower worked well. The towels and sheets were well worn/practically threadbare. Not especially...

The hotel is in a great location and has a nice pool. We stayed in a standard room for one night so we could get an early start to the ruins. The beds are horrible and covered in plastic. The small room had 2 double beds which only gave us a couple inches to get to the closet and bathroom....

The good: Air conditioning, pool, location, bar in hotel, water coolers everywhere, hot water The bad: Not clean, rooms right on the pool, uncomfortable beds and pillows. We stayed here because there was nothing else available the night we wanted to stay.

The hotel is located on the main square so you are in the center of everything and within walking distance to all worthwhile sightseeing destinations and best restaurants. It's very budget friendly and you get free parking with your reservation but you better get lucky at getting a spot there since it fits only a handful of cars. Unfortunately that's...

Great location, great staff, great pool, great restaurant, great price. I have stayed here for 25 years and love it. Location is perfect. Parking is convenient. Breakfast buffet is to die for. TV is good, as is WiFi.

I don't know why this is hotel is ranked so low. We had a really enjoyable stay. Perfect location. Our room was clean and modern and we had a second floor room overlooking the park just as we asked. A small patio with huge French doors, lots of storage, great service, nice restaurant, great staff, beautiful pool. Only negative is...

Had a comfortable stay, Staff helpful, bit basis but value for money, restaurant good, pool very cold. The highlight was being out onto an amazing local tour guide called Alberto who took us to not only the usual historial cites of Chicken Itza and the Cenotes but also took us on an adventure into bats caves where snakes were feeding...

Room 2 at first. Right near the pool lots of kids splashing in the water. The water was making it slippery near our door and our room entrance was getting wet. The inner courtyard is filled with the pool. The Internet was not good and this room too noisy for us adults. We asked and were relocated to room 14...

I loved this Hotel right on the main plaza of Valladolid, Mexico. It had a beautiful garden inside and a restaurant that served delicious meals. The breakfast buffet came with our reservation and we enjoyed every bite. It isn't the Hyatt. It did have a small room air conditioner. It was clean- and small, but great. Because it is on...
