Me and my partner stayed at this hostel for one night as a stop over for chichen itza. We stayed in a private room with shared bathroom and it was clean and nicely decorated. Staff were helpful and gave us a map of the town and advised us about getting to chichen itza. Unfortunately despite all this we had a...

Hostel Candelaria is a beautiful, colorful, quaint, well run hostel on the corner of a quiet little square, housed in a colonial style building. It's very picturesque and right in front of Parque de La Candelaria and a nice little cafe; La Casa del Cafe, as well as a Paleteria Y Neveria (Popsicle & ice cream) shop. There are two...

Hostel was brilliant. Epic breakfasts cooked to order! The staff were very friendly and helped us with recommendations for places to eat and how to get to Chichen Itza. We stayed in a private room and it was great - comfy bed and had an overhead fan to help with the heat. We didn't use the kitchen to cook but...

I stayed at this hostel as a first time solo female traveler. It was amazing! The building is colonial and adorable and everything is painted in bright colours. The facilities are great. There is a TV room with couches and outlets, an indoor and outdoor kitchen for cooking and storing food in the fridge, an outdoor seating area with tables...

This was my favorite hostel during my travels in the Yucatan Peninsula. Valladolid (I learned how to say it by the end of my stay there, ha) is also a very cool place, it's very peaceful and you get a small-town feeling that is very different from other parts of the Yucatan Peninsula (i.e. Cancun, Tulum, Isla Mujeres, etc) The...

Located a short walk from the ADO bus station, this hostel is nestled right in the heart of Valladolid. We stayed in this quaint Colonial town for easy access to Chichen Itza. Our private room had a double bed and two bunk beds which was exactly what we needed. The facilities in the hostel were great. The staff here are...

This was, by far, the best hostel that we've stayed at in the Yucatan peninsula. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, our private room was very clean and cozy. The communal areas were very well maintained. We highly recommend it!

This hostel was a pleasure, free bikes, friendly well informed and polite staff and a good breakfast. I enjoyed my stay here and even prolonged it. There's a rooftop terrace large enough to practice yoga under the stars and two really well equipped kitchens that are kept spotlessly clean. Comfy beds, secure lockers, good showers, I would highly reccomend this...

It is a busy hostel next to the Candelaria church about 4 blocks from the bus station and 6 blocks from the plaza. The staff is mostly OK and helpful, some of them a bit too busy to really pay attention at you. It's reasonably priced, around $350 - $420 per night, a working Kitchenet, WiFi, bike rental and gardens....
