While the stunning Uxmal ruins are not exactly "nowhere," one is still a bit surprised to come upon the palmy green jungle grounds of the Lodge after a long drive through fairly scrubby flatlands. We had a very large comfortable room facing one of two big, beautifully designed pools. We went to the Uxmal park (a couple of hundred feet...

On a bit of a whim, we decided to travel from Puerto Aventuras to view the Uxmal ruins. Realizing the ruins might take a few hours, and the distance from P.A. is significant, we made the decision to stay overnight at The Lodge at Uxmal. I should have bought a lotto ticket because this was one of the luckiest decisions...

The Lodge at Uxmal is a Mayaland 5-star resort located directly outside the entrance gate to the magnificent ancient ruined city of Uxmal. The service is wonderful - there is nothing the staff will not do for you. Our concierge, Edgar, was most attentive and very informative - by the end of our stay he felt like an old friend....

It is a pleasure to have guests like yourself. Truly, your comments bring to mind how really special Uxmal and it's people are. During the many times that I spend training, designing new elements to help our endeavors and enjoying the camaraderie of men like Jorge Mex, how represents the very essence of the dignity of noble maya and mestizo...

The Lodge has a very good restaurant and is the closest hotel to the entrance to the ruins. Rooms are comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only shortcoming I can think of is lack of electrical outlets. With all the things one needs to charge these days, this is a drawback. I’ve stayed in one of the other...

Thank you for staying with us again ! Well, your continued patronage is going to leave its mark on the property... We are adding plenty of electrical outlets to all our rooms !! You are right! Today's living, with all of our gadgets, requires them. We look forward to having the honor of serving you again soon. Muchas Gracias por...

We booked this hotel because of it's proximity to the Mayan ruins at Uxmal and our concerns about driving back up to Progreso after dark. We're so glad we did! This is a lovely property, with a very tropical feel compared to north shore Yucatan. From check-in to our departure, we were made to feel especially welcome by Luis Fillipe...

This lodge is a top destination right next to the Mayan ruins but away from any town. Rooms are large, comfortable, food is excellent and the service is just outstanding! We stayed there for 4 nights during a trip with Gray Line / Mayaland and loved every minute.

Wonderful position right near the gates of what we think is Mexico's finest ruins. Lovely room, amidst rich flowers and trees. Terrace in front of room delightful, and the great pyramid was visible in the distance. Food was good too.

Bottom line: this place is an unmitigated ripoff. It is overpriced, the rooms are dirty and moldy and the owners/management are ethically challenged.
