A big surprise to get our 2 bedroom appartment. Very big and with 2 nice bedrooms. One roome with one big bed and another room with 2 beds (this room could actually sleep 4 people). A nice big kitchen and living room in one. A...More
Spent a couple of nights here again this trip. We bounced around the Quintana Roo area this trip and just had to stay here when we were in the area. Our 2 bedroom suite was clean and spacious as we expected and were glad we...More
We loved this hotel in Akumal! It's a small hotel and we felt right at home rather than in a huge resort. The staff was super friendly, accommodating and competent. The suite was decorated with taste and charm, thoughtfully designed and equipped. The grounds were...More
I recently stayed here for the third time...that's how much I love it here. I brought my family this time and all ages enjoyed their time at Las Villas Akumal. You just can't beat the views, closeness to the water and their service!

the beach is lovely, but the water entry is rocky right in front. You can go over to the right a bit to get into the water for snorkeling (Villas Akumal has snorkels for guests to use). Water shoes are helpful for rocks. The water was quite rough on our trip, and I was with a 4 year old, so only my husband got in the water at Villas Akumal. If you walk down the beach towards town you get to the larger , calmer bay with much easier water access and snorkeling -- about a 15 minute walk.
