the rooms in the building are great, and super clean. The rooms in the bungalow are super clean a well, but the A/C system is old, and they smell a little bit like humidity. the beach is amazing, I loved that many people where Mexicans, mixed with the tourists. Just in front of the hotel, you may swim with giant... More

We have actually stayed here twice. The hotel consist of some small huts/cabins which I think look like something I would never stay in. But they also have a 3 story building with nice view over the pool and beach. These apartments are nice without being extraordinary. They are clean. The surroundings are beautiful. They really clean up the place... More

Having a hotel room in the Hotel Club Akumal Caribe is the most wonderful experience you can imagine! If you look at the beach from your hotel room you may see the white sand, palm trees, different water colours, and besides, the experience of diving!

The bungalow we stayed in was quiet, clean and simple. It was very close to the beach where snorkeling with the turtles was amazing. Just a few minutes in the water and you almost bump into them...you don't need to pay for a snorkeling tour unless you've never done it before. Wifi covers pretty much the whole property. Only hotel... More

Amazing location right on the beach with a nice pool area and bar/restaurant. I would give the place 5 stars but our room had mouldy curtains. Don't pay for a guide to see the turtles, you will trip over the creatures when you enter the water there are so many of them !! Amazing snorkelling and amazing location. You have... More

I should keep this a secret BUT I can't. 4 girls traveling through Mexico, happened upon this gem. Inexpensive, ala carte, swim with turtles and rays right off the shore. $15 pax ask for Budha,at least that was his name that day at the end of the beach. Best part of a month long trip.

Great stay, I would stay there again. One thing to be aware of - there are no TVs in the room and the area is extremely quiet at night. Not a problem for me, as I woke up early every morning go snorkeling which is steps from the hotel. The main area of improvement would be to clean the AC... More

This hotel is right on the beach, and has it's own private area with beach chairs. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, but the poor security guard trying to stop the day trippers from using the hotel sunbeds has a thankless job and I watched him try his best to turn them away only to be verbally abused.... A bit nicer than expected. Beautiful beach and pool. Stayed in beach front 3 story building overlooking pool and beach. Room was clean and well equipped with purified water, safe and re-fridge. Flawless free wifi in room and on beach. Steps to dive shop, on property restaurants, spa, and off property shops. A/C died one night and was quickly fixed.... More

We stayed at the classic, small hotel in Akumal during Semana Santa (Holy Week), one of the busiest travel times in Mexico. This hotel is right in the heart of Akumal on the beach side. The rooms are lovely and well-appointed with terraces or balconies to relax on. The staff are friendly, efficient, and very responsive. A nice continental breakfast... More
