We stayed here on our way to La Paz. Pretty average room. Right near the road, but generally secure enough.

We did not stay at Hotel Los Caracoles as it was booked out. However, we did our whale watching tour through them, and I highly recommend it. At the hotel they were friendly and welcoming. Our guide on the boat was wonderful. Spoke good English...More
We staid at this hotel for one night on our recent drive down the Baja. It is fairly conveniently located and is easy to find. It is very cute on the outside, but very basic on the inside. We paid more money to get a...More
We stayed here one night with two children, 8 and 10. I agree with a previous review that the hotel is akin to am older Motel 6. The road traffic is pretty load. Our room didn't have AC, but the ceiling fan was sufficient. Wifi...More

Wonderful, you will be experiencing one of he most impressive moments I ever had, no only whale watching but interacting with whales, hey they are mammals, they have social behavior and yes they are BIG. I agree with previous answer Terrasal hotel is probably the best there is in the area for a small gruop, not expensive and restaurant is ok. Look for a good tour guide, I will recommend also use imornings for such activity and help yourself with sun protection, if you get sea sick easily use dimedrinato (Dramamine).
Also don't forget to visit Salinera (where salt is being produced) and a quick visit to see the Berrendo reserve (kind of American Antilope).
