we stopped in with our trailer and our two large dogs. the dogs were the stars with the staff photo ops.we ate in the restaurant with our dogs ,food was good and met a lot of new friends over a few drinks. we met up with our new amigos in loreto later. RV site is pretty basic and old but...

A salt-mining town, Guerrero Negro has little to offer the tourist, but it is located in a crucial stop over location on the long ride down the Baja Peninsula. It also is the jump off point for whale watching tours in Scammons Lagoon nearby. Malarrimo is a fabulous place to stay, dine, and they have ecotours that base at the...

While there are newer and perhaps nicer hotels in Guerrero Negro now, we chose to stay at the Malarrimo because it is quaint, rustic and clean. The rooms are very basic and look a bit dated, but they are clean and comfortable for a one-night stay while travelling north or south on the Baja. What we love most about this...

We have stayed here several times over the years and it has always worked out for the best. The rooms are comfortable and clean. there are even a few with lofts if you're bringing along the kids. The restaurant is great. They book their own whale-watching excursions. And best of all, the prices are right on everything. This is the...

Malarrimo is a quirky, older property but the rooms are clean and the staff is nice. The walls are thin and it was a little noisy at night from other guests talking outside and barking dogs. The restaurant is fabulous, however and makes up for any faults. The seafood is very fresh and well prepared. I still dream about their...

Stayed here largely due to the hotel's number 2 rating of hotels in Guerrero Negro. Ratings are relative to the area and since all of the hotels/motels in town are pretty run down as is the town itself, a number 2 rating isn't actually saying much. Mexican hotel standards are vastly different from what many Canadians/Americans are used to. The...

A safe, clean and cute/funky motel with a great restaurant and good food. Atmosphere is a whale history and a gateway to whale watching. staff speaks a little English and you speak a little Spanish and all works very well. The restaurant is outstanding with all ages of wines. Great food.

Clean, quaint motel with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Free WiFi and coffee making facility in room. Nice, adjoining souvenir shop. Motel recommended. Not much to do in Guerrero Negro outside the whale watching season. Town itself is dirty and rather dull.

Stood motel in Guerrero Negro for about $45 c per night. Good air con, strong water pressure, hot water. Has a fairly good restaurant attached to it with a pleasant, partially shaded eating area outside. Wifi is quite good in the bar area, not so good elsewhere, non-existent in our room. 16, 17,and 18 are the biggest. Good beds, firm,...

By now, you know I'm a business traveler, for the most part, but, once in a while I come across a place where I want to comeback with family or friends, that's Malarrimo. Very well located, good restaurant, rooms with or without AC, your choice, good wifi and great service.
