I've only spoken to the owners on the phone, but they come across as tense and defensive, if not rude; not exactly the place you want to bed down. I made a reservation during ski season but had to cancel, and one owner promised me a refund of my (relatively small) deposit. The other (the wife?) retracted that promise. In...

We stayed for 2 nights and found the location and accommodation were good. Having said that, our room was very cluttered and difficult to move around, I think that they could remove some of the interesting furniture and knick-knacks, but this is just our preference. The owner was very helpful and friendly and the location was good, a 5 minute...

My fairytale started why my partner and I received a coupon for this "auberge" and called to reserve a date, well after many calls with no answer, we were finally able to pick a date ! Albeit, not a date of our choosing, but a date non the less. Well after an unfortunate turn of events we had a passing...

Our room was clean but the decor was extremely dated. Breakfasts (included) were good but limited menu. My husband and I found the dinners (included) somewhat disappointing (too salty, not enough vegetables, uninteresting preparation), except for the beef, although the kids seemed to like them. Was told in advance they would accommodate my preference for vegan food but they did...

Wow, what a terrific area, everybody friendly. Go mid week. The skiing was terrific, inexpensive and absolutely no line ups. Get your passes online a few days before arriving. The Inn itself, an older building, lots of nooks and crannies. The inn keeper, a real a helpful man...lots of stories about the Inn and the area. His wife is a...

This place is very close to Sutton ski hill and hiking trails - maybe 2 minutes by car, which is convenient. It's about a 5-10 minute drive from the main street in Sutton. The decor itself is very quaint. There are some beautiful antiques, clearly there has been no renovation in a few decades. We had booked an economy room...

My wife and I spent a pleasant two days in this upscale bed and breakfast. The Auberge is in the small town of Sutton in Canada's Eastern Townships, a picturesque and largely hilly region to the south east of Montreal known for its biking in the summer and skiing in winter. The Auberge is an older mainly wooden building by...

Ray and Carla (owners) were very gracious and friendly! The landscaping was simply amazing with a plethora of flowers throughout the property. An elegant pond with two quant benches and 2 bullfrogs to serenade one during the evening. Two charming cats and plenty of songbirds from the nearby forests. Breathtaking view of forested mountains and a charming murmuring stream. For...

This is a tough review because we had such a great time, and almost historic snow on Mont Sutton, yet there are some shortcomings. The innkeeper, Ray, is a most gracious host. The old inn is rustic and makes you feel at home...wander around in your jammies if you want. The dining room is very nice, bright, with an upscale...

Ray and Carla went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. The room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. Breakfasts were excellent, we were so surprized that they served a basket of lovely assorted pastries and then took our orders for their cooked breakfast offerings which were nicely presented and delicious. We booked to include two...
