We were pleasantly surprised by this motel. The location was great with a nice view of the bay. The rooms were newly renovated and big enough. There is a nice deck extending the length of the motel with deck chairs where you can relax and look at the bay. Very quite and close to restaurants in the town.

Stayed 2 nights in a one bedroom unit equipped with a kitchen. Very comfortable and clean. Expensive but so is everything in Aug. Nice location with walking trail on the water nearby. We would go back.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. The one bedroom kitchenette units have all been completely renovated, and with stainless steel appliances. We try to stay competitively priced with local businesses. Everyone wants to receive a good deal for their money. The motel was in need of TLC and we appreciate that guests notice all the hard work.

When we first pulled up to this property, I wasn't quite sure we made the right choice. People were sitting out in front of their rooms drinking and I thought it was going to be a loud place to rest. However, it turned out to be a nice stay. The rooms are clean with brand new bedding. There is a...

Thank you for your comment. We take guest reviews seriously and we have addressed the wifi by having Eastlink install 3 new data points in the motel to boast wifi strength. As well, we mention to guests that quiet time begins at 11 pm. The majority of guests are cooperative and obey the rules. Guests that are relaxed and happy,...

The setting is lovely on the river. Checkin was flawless and quick, and we were checked on several times to see if we needed anything. The rooms have been renovated and is very tastefully decorated in a serene color selection. I really like not having carpet with all the "scrunge" that is harbored there. The wood floors were very pretty....

We are pet friendly and understand that guests like their accommodations clean and comfortable. All the motel rooms did have carpet but that was the first item on our list to be removed. The motel required TLC, as it was starting to show its age. Our plans are to build a new addition where the office currently is, that will...

The Pines is a lovely setting for a rural hotel, well situated in PEI. Owners Larry & Mark went above & beyond to assist us with camp fires, bbqs & the pool. Nearby fishing charters, beaches & restaurants added value without adding significant distance. Great spot & well managed.

Thank you for the wonderful comments. As we are aware (and we as well check before booking a vacation), guests check Trip Advisor before booking accommodations. It's positive comments like yours that help make our business successful, and to know that the hard work since we bought in Fall 2014 has not gone unnoticed. Please tell all your family and...

We were fairly satisfied with our three-night cottage stay, and look forward to returning in future years to see how well this property, which has enormous potential, will have been improved. The potential for this particular location is huge, and based on our conversations, it appears that the friendly owners, Larry and Mark, intend on realizing that potential. They have...

We appreciate the positive feedback. When we bought the business in the Fall 2014, what sold us was the view and the huge potential for the place. The property required much TLC. We want all the renovations to be completed 'yesterday' but everything takes time and resources. The majority of guests appreciate what we have accomplished so far. Every accommodation...

Had an excellent stay at the pines. Rented cottage 5 for three nights. While the structure and some furniture is outdated we didn't expect anything different and it made the stay all that much more small town pei authentic. Updates have been made where they matter- like the lovely comfy beds! Slept fantastic. Larry was also quite helpful and very...

We listen to guests feedback and comfortable beds were at the top of the list. Since your stay we have removed all the carpet from the cottage. Cleanliness is important and being pet friendly, our goal is to remove all the carpets. The motel rooms have been completed, and we have started on the cottages. It will take time and...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay with us. We do our best to accommodate guests requests. The location and view is what sold us on the property when we bought the Fall of 2014. You are close enough to beaches / National Park / Cavendish yet far enough that you are not caught...
