Detailed Reviews
This campground is full of character. It is evident that it has many repeat customers. The splash zone, petting zoo, playgrounds and activities attract many families. The campground offers sites that have a few trees separating them with some privacy. There are also sites with less privacy. I really wanted to give the campground a 5 star review, however, the washroom facilities were terrible. The shower room floor was rotten, and it was evident that someone had broken through the rotten floor. Additionally, the toilet seat was broken in one of the stalls causing a nasty fall and cut. The showers are very small, and there is no where to lay your shower bag/ towel. It was hard to shower my young child as there were minimal hooks and no benches. The shower tap was installed wrong, and it was only after two cold and unpleasant showers that I released the hot/cold was reversed. The public restrooms may not be a concern to many, as they have washrooms in their campers. However for people camping without a trailer washroom, they should be aware! The picnic table on our site was rotten. The location is excellent and staff were very kind.

PROS: water park ,jumping pillows, petting zoo , and the playgrounds were a huge hit for our boys (3&5). Kept them busy for hours on end and mom & dad could sit down and relax! Loungers by the water park were perfect for keeping an eye on the boys ,while also enjoying some sunshine myself.
CONS: the internet is horrible-in order to use it you must pay which I didn't expect. The satellite that was marketed as included in our cabin didn't work at all, and the take-out food was horrible. The ceasar salad was the worst I've ever had.
All in all, it was a great trip and we weren't there for the internet access or take-out food! Take notes and bring your own food for all meals or try Yvonne's down the road for a yummy meal! Next time we head back we will keep this in mind!

If you have very young kids this is a great campground. If your kids are closer to our boys ages (11 & 13), beware...there is NO POOL. The water activity is a splash pad, not for swimming and geared towards young children. We camped here many years ago but in recent years had heard very negative things mostly about the poor customer service and the lack of transparency around their water park being open. I called and asked about swimming and was told the water activity included a heated pool. Not true. Food at the canteen was good and the boys enjoyed the organized activities. Campground was clean. This is trailer park style camping where you can sit and watch what your neighbors are having for dinner. We normally like to camp with a bit more privacy. We also found the car traffic alarmingly fast throughout the campground with cyclists and pedestrians not given much consideration. I was thankful our boys are older and this was less of a concern for us then it would be for families with younger kids. This is a been there done that campground for us, not likely to return.

Great family friendly campground and amazing splash pad! We camped with a very large tent. The site was flat and dry with a fire pit and tap. The kids loved the jumping pillow and splash pad and biking on the slow/low traffic lanes. Will definitely go back!

I camped at this campground many years ago and was surprised, on a recent visit, to see how it has become so run down. This campground used to have lots of things for older kids to do such as swimming pool, mini golf, tennis, pool table and fishing pond but all that is gone now. In place of the swimming pools is a splash park which would only be of interest to small children. There was also a nice restaurant there with a water view but now that building looks like it has seen better days and is not very clean looking inside. There used to be a lovely little gift shop in an old train station and it is now gone, building and all. The campground in general is very unkempt looking with dumpsters over flowing with garbage. There is very little green space at Marco Polo anymore and there are way too many campsites for the size of the park. Years ago you would see security going around keeping things in check and other than at the security booth there was no security to be seen.

We were assured that even though it was the end of September we would have full service. I felt the grounds looked a little sketchy but we really needed showers as we had been boondocking for a few days. The shower for both my husband and I was totally cold. Not even lukewarm! When I talked to them after management said I should have told someone that night. There was no one to tell. Not worth the money to stay at Marco Polo.

First time we ever stayed in an RV. Rented for 3 days in June. No manual to show simple things like lights, heating zones or blinds. No hot water first night. Washer door would not open at all second day. Staff got it open only to have water spill all over the floor. Was still unusable. Last day shower would not drain and both toilets' would not flush. Had to use park facilities to wash and use bathroom. Good news was it was all fixed the day we checked out. Email to owner of RV regarding our experience went unanswered. Check your rented RV folks upon check in!

Large park with plenty of activities and amenities for kids. Bouncy pillows, water park, petting zoo, playgrounds...we were very happy with our site. Only downside was very spotty wifi. Clean bathrooms and pet friendly.

No efforts to meet pandemic control measures. Crowding in the water park with one entry and exit less than 2 m wide made physical distancing impossible. Staff said they hadn’t developed a strategy by mid-August. About 75 people on a trampoline despite a sign limiting it to 20, again no staff effort to enforce rules. People playing ball hockey and staff encouraging people to congregate for fireworks display were all consistent indications that only lip service was paid to pandemic control efforts. In comparison, the garbage on our site was welcome. Strongly discourage anyone from visiting.
