This bed and breakfast is fantastic in every way. The home and grounds are beautiful. The bedroom and ensuite bath are luxurious and comfortable. Every need is provided for from bathrobes to Kuerig coffee maker to sitting areas. The breakfast started with fresh berries and some of the best coffee we've ever had and went on to a delicious breakfast...

Silken Retreat is exactly that, the perfect get away in Port Elgin. A stones throw away from downtown (though still very quiet), a 20 minute walk to the beach. There isn't one negative about this perfect B&B. The hosts were very very nice, the house and gardens were immaculate, the breakfast was fantastic! I could go on and on but...

we were looking to get away for a few days of quiet R&R and were quite hesitant about staying at a B&B because of past experiences. The Silken came at the recommendation of our friends and we are glad we stayed. Priscilla and Ken are wonderful people and made every effort to make us feel right at home. If you...

Needed an overnight in Port Elgin to attend a wedding . Saw reviews on Silken Retreat and decided to book........couldn't have made a better choice . The original home dates back to circa 1900 and Ken and Priscilla have over the past 9 years put a lot of thought and effort into renovating this property while keeping its original charm...

We returned to Silken Retreat for a second time for an anniversary celebration. From the moment you arrive you are treated like family at this 5+ star B&B. We stayed in the beautiful McClung Room with its very comfortable king bed, soft linens, and amazing on-suite with Jacuzzi bath. Breakfast by Priscilla and Ken is a wonderful treat that you...

This lovingly restored Victorian house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable - all 3 rooms have a private bathroom. The beds were excellent and everything was squeaky clean. Every tiny detail has been considered, right down to a wine fridge and coffee/tea station on the landing. Breakfast both days was delicious, abundant and beautifully served in a dining room with...

This was our first B & B experience, and it was great in every way. We found Silken Retreat online and booking went very smoothly. Because of the pictures online we decided to have a nightcap in their garden as opposed to a pub on the main st. Port Elgin and South Hampton offer a very picturesque location with a...

On our wedding day, we were invited to have our pictures taken in there beautiful garden. The grounds were well taken care of,the hosts were very helpful, and offered to let us use different sets to have our pictures taken. For a romantic getaway, minutes from a beautiful beach, complete with a train ride, or a nice long walk on...

First experience at a Bed and Breakfast and it was incredible. Pricilla & Ken was so hospitable and room was outstanding. Loved the swing on the porch and garden was beautiful. I highly recommend Silken Retreat to anyone looking for a perfect getaway. We were in the McClung Room. Looking forward to going back.

I stayed here in the Cavell Room this past May 1st to 3rd weekend for business and was anxious to see if this place lived up to the hype. IT DID. Priscilla and Ken's B&B has been gorgeously and lovingly renovated and shows extremely well. I toured all the rooms which were large, airy, clean and extremely comfortable - a...
