Once again I'm running the gauntlet to deal with family emergency and the couple that runs this place is there for me again. Last minute booking, great rate, clean, affordable, quiet room. Rooms include a small kitchenette, free parking and very comfortable.

Selected this hotel as other Trip Advisor Contributors had given it 4.2 out of 5 and it was far less expensive than the other hotels in the area by $50 - $60 per night; was only looking for a place to sleep while visiting family. Rooms are a little dated, but room was clean and bed was comfortable. Room hade...

The Maplewood is operated by friendly people and offers comfortable beds. The kitchen is pleasant and well equipped. Unfortunately, you can hear every noise from adjoining rooms. The taps in the bathroom leaked badly and the shower head was very loose. The arrangement of the queen size room was cluttered and difficult to navigate. This motel is acceptable for a...

I try to stay at "mom and pop" places when I can. After all, it's usually just a place to sleep. Maplewood is an old motel, which they have worked at to modernize, and they keep it clean and tidy. The grounds have big shade trees, and it is on the 'main drag' close enough to restaurants and shopping that...

Great place to lay your head for a couple of nights. Has everything you need for a beach visit! Rooms are clean. Owners are friendly. Close to restaurants, shopping and LCBO. Rooms are a bit dated but a decent value for the price. Love visiting Port Elgin and have stayed at this location a few times now.

We stayed at the Maplewood Motel for 2 nights for adventuring in Port Elgin, Southampton and Kincardine. Beautiful area to explore. The stay was very comfortable and a very reasonable price. Very clean. Within walking to several restaurants. It was in a good location for day tripping. Tony was very friendly and attentive to us being comfortable. Would recommend and...

It's not posh but very clean...within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. The main beach is close by as well as just being 8 kms from Southampton. Really nice swimming there but rocky. Lots of interesting shops nearby in Kincardine as well.

The motel can be easily accessed and found, with ample of free parking space and patio chair to rest outside. Booking policy is nice: only 24 hr notice for refund, unlike some other small town motels that may require couple of days notice. Owners are friendly and offers better pricing if booked through them directly. I booked through booking.com at...

My husband and I stayed here for one night on our way back to Chicago after a stay in Canada. The owner was incredibly nice at check in. He let me look at the rooms before we decided to stay here and gave us the king room for the price of the queen room. He gave me a map and...

Very clean, within walking distance of downtown. Tony was very friendly and helpful, our room was upgraded at no additional cost, we would stay again. We were pleased with having fridge, stove and microwave and bbq at our disposal, as well as soaps, shampoos etc
