This B&B is the best you could ask for and a great value for your accommodation dollar. The room and common areas were meticulously clean and well appointed with everything we needed. When we mentioned that we were having wine and cheese in our room, owner Alain immediately offered / provided a cutting board and knife (the room already had wine glasses). We were able to charge up our EV using the host’s charger for a reasonable fee. Over the delicious hot breakfast, we were given a slide show of photos and local knowledge for sights and attractions in Cape Breton, complete with running description and answers to any questions we had. This was topped off by some live fiddle music by our host. A great place to stay - we will go back on our next Cape Breton visit.

We were welcomed on arriving by Alain and Denise and checked in smoothly, given details of how everything worked. Our room was light with a view down to the sea, tea and coffee facilities are available. Denise cooked us a good breakfast, while Alain gave us a brief history lesson about the area, which gave us a good insight as to how things were. All in all a pleasant stay.

We had a great experience at this quaint, immaculately clean B and B. Alain and Denise were welcoming and accommodating. Alain played violin while we ate a great breakfast they had prepared for us.

The room was very cosy, the mattress and pillows were especially comfortable. The breakfast provided by Denise was exceptional and the video presentation by Alain was very much appreciated. His advice to stop at every look-off along the Cabot Trail was ideal. It was a pleasure listening to him play the fiddle.

This B&B is probably one of the best in Cape Breton.Denise and Allain's attention to detail, the delicious breakfast, the fiddle playing made our two nights stay memorable. Our room was clean and comfortable, the access to a fridge, microwave, teapot and coffee machine were very useful. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Cape Breton.

My wife, Jo, and I recently travelled to Fredericton, NB for a square dance convention, then on to Cape Breton. We stayed at the Fiddle and the Sea B&B, NS and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our hosts, Alain and Denise, were very welcoming, friendly and very accommodating in our queries about restaurants, and places to see. Alain also played his fiddle during breakfast which was a way for us to start the experience of Cape Breton Celiah Trail. Breakfast was fabulous too, which started off the day for us perfectly.

This is a very functional B&B. The custom build home features a bottom floor of "motel rooms" with a very small common area - certainly nothing you could call a usable gathering space. The rooms were completely ordinary and the bathrooms were poorly equipped. No place to put toiletries and a small shower stall. For a place that brags of being a customer build B&B, it was little more than a 4 unit, cheap motel. the "breakfast room" would have barely fit the guests had it been full and the breakfast was meagre, to be kind. Given the positive reviews, we were disappointed.

Welcoming hosts. They gave us top tips of where to get food on a Monday night as the local restaurants closed and also where else to visit on our travels. Very comfortable en-suite room. Watching the amazing sunset from the deck out the front was just lovely. We only stayed one night but Port Hood definitely worth a longer visit next time to enjoy the beach and more of the lovely small town.

Lovely B&B. Large in fact very large room with large bed and plenty of storage. The breakfast was outstanding, amazing fresh cooked food We were in room with other guests eating breakfast and the host presented a slide show of the area full of hints and tips for Cabot trail. He concluded by playing his fiddle. A lovely start to the day.
