While visiting relatives for Thanksgiving we spent a night here. Great accommodations, comfortable bed, hot and cold breakfast! The owner was very pleasant. A lovely place to relax! We have stayed here before and will return.

From the minute you drive up to the Gillespie house you feel excited but also calm because you know that your stay promises to be amazing and you cant wait to see what lies within the beautiful white inn with the expansive front lawn and the welcoming front porch. Gillespie house was the perfect end to our amazing maritime vacation....

We stayed here one night during our trip; the grounds are really quite lovely, and our room was huge. Breakfast was great, just be aware that there isn't a lot of restaurants in the area so you might consider where you're going to be having dinner.

Great accommodation, very clean, friendly and nice grounds. Rooms are nicely furnished. Dave and Lori go out of their way to arrange a play or dinner to make your stay special.Beds are comfortable and a scrumptious breakfast awaits you in the morning. Great place to spend a night in Parrsboro.

We were back for our second Not Since Moses run. The owners of this B&B have acquired the building beside them and have completely transformed it into a beautiful place for guests. (This is where we stayed this time). We had our two dogs who got to play in the yard (there are beautiful gardens around both properties). Our room...

Maritime people have a reputation for being friendly and down to earth. So what do you call the owners of this inn? Aside from friendly and down to earth, they are also fun, fully engaged with their guests and their business, and very positive people. It would be a tossup to choose between which part of the "Gillespie House Experience"...

My husband and I stayed at the Gillespie House Inn for two nights of our honeymoon tour of Nova Scotia. We stayed in Parrsboro for the easy drive to Cape Chignecto and Cape D'Or. What a perfect place to stay! The Inn and grounds were beautiful and immaculate and the breakfast was delicious. I agree with the other reviews -...

We were a family of four with two big teenage boys so two rooms after a long car drive was welcome. The rooms were beautiful, breakfasts fantastic (maybe a little small for teenage boys but everything usually is!) and the hosts very friendly. The location is great...only 45 minutes to Joggins fossil Cliffs and 45 minutes to Cape Chignecto's amazing...

Lori was most welcoming. Even though her Inn was fully booked, she found room for us in their new acquisition, "The New House", aka the house next door. It was still under renovation, but our room was well appointed and very comfortable. We walked next door to the Inn to have breakfast today, and it was super delicious. Starting with...

Thank you for the review. So glad you enjoyed "The New House" It has been fun renovating and restoring this 1880 Sea Captain's home and giving it a new lease on life. Thank you for your suggestions and encouragement with our project. Lori and David

We stayed one night in Parrsboro because we were going kayaking out of nearby Advocate Harbor. We were so sad to only stay at this place for one night. It was one of the cleanest B&Bs I have ever stayed at, and I'm a clean freak. It was also so well-maintained inside the entire house and on the grounds. Very...
