Gorgeous mansion of former Governor in quaint village. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. Large grounds with a lovely deck area and gazebo. The restaurant offers a gourmet meal and excellent wine list. Perfect spot for a romantic getaway.

Quaint Inn - The rooms are spacious and beautiful. There is plenty of free parking. Inn is located in a residential area. I would suggest making reservations for dinner at the Inn. The food was excellent. Breakfast is included. Breakfast includes fresh scrambled eggs, bacon and toast along with the usual: yogurt, juices, cereal, fruit, muffins.

First of all, the Inn and grounds are beautiful. It is quiet, relaxing, and the staff are wonderful and friendly. If you are looking for the experience you get at a "chain" hotel, this probably isn't the place for you. There is no pool, no hot tub, no big screen TVs in the rooms, no play area for the kids....

We loved the Inn, it is beautifully restored and the staff we met were all lovely. We checked into our suite and it was beautiful, exactly as shown, it was room #5. We made a reservation for dinner at the Inn and we were not disappointed, our server was fantastic and the food was delicious. We were so glad we...

Picturesque inn on a hill just above the tiny town. Our room, number 4, was very large as was the bathroom. Comfortable sitting area. Very tiny tv which would not usually be an issue except that we wanted to watch the Olympics. Toilet seat was loose and shower head leaked so much there was not sufficient pressure for a good...

This is our fourth time staying here over many years. And the quality of service and experience is always top notch. Rooms are huge and well appointed - larger rooms on second floor but all very comfortable. Sprawling grounds and large gardens- flowers, vegetables and herbs. Highly recommend the culinary package - two amazing dinners - one with Nova Scotia...

We stayed 2 nights at this beautiful Inn in the quaint village of Guysborough. The rooms are large and well appointed. We enjoyed a glass of wine while sitting on the veranda overlooking the grounds and hills. We ate in the dining room both nights and the food was very good but the menu is limited and was the same...

We spent a night here (August 2nd) on our way to the Cabot Trail. It's a lovely old home high on a hill overlooking the harbour and neighbouring historic church. Guysborough itself is not exactly as advertised - much smaller than I expected with a single shop and a couple of restaurants, near the harbour. We also thought the claim...

Second time posting as Des Barres had my first post removed because were afraid of people finding out the truth. I have stayed at multiple B&Bs throughout Nova Scotia and PEI, and all have had spectacular hot full breakfasts. This place promised that, and we paid for it, but we ended up with cereal, juice, soggy toast and weak coffee....
