Unique décor. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Modern shower and bathroom. Good internet connection. Close to harbor and restaurants. Quiet location. Very clean with comfortable bed. Delicious all you can eat and more breakfast. We enjoyed our 2 nights stay. Highly recommended.

The nicest accomodations of my trip to Nova Scotia by a landslide! I'm really happy I took a chance on a same day reservation at Mecklenburgh Inn (after sticker shock at rooms in nearby Lunenbergh). A lot of thought went into this spot. The rooms have well considered touches from quality bedding, gentle lighting, local art. It's a perfect blend... More

We found the town of Chester to be small, but with a lot going for it. It has a very attractive harbor area, a few shops selling good quality local crafts at reasonable prices, some very good restaurants (we enjoyed the creative Kiwi Cafe for lunches, and the Rope Loft restaurant with (among other tasty choices) the best fish chowder... Hello ! We are small but mighty, our little Hamlet of Chester. There is something for every taste here from waterfront dining to the local pub. The pancakes are made with buttermilk and sour cream because sour cream makes everything taste better :) Hope to see you again. More

This was our first time in Chester and we LOVED the Mecklenburg Inn! The rooms are clean, bright and have every amenity you could need or want. Suzi who runs the Inn leaves no detail unturned (toiletries, flashlight, ear plugs and more). She really puts a lot of thought and care into her Inn. There is a real sense of... More

Hello ! Thank you for writing such a lovely review. So glad you enjoyed your stay at the Mecklenburgh. I am still knee deep in zucchini and tomatoes from the garden so we've been seeing a lot of those items at the breakfast table these days. Hope you return soon. More

After driving in the car all day, it was great to come to "The Meck" and relax. The eclectic style of this Inn makes you feel right at home. Rooms are spotless and clean. Love this place. Loved the owner. Bed not very comfortable, but good for one night. Awesome breakfast. Clean, a mixture of old and new, absolutely loved it. Very comfortable. Other guests were snooty, but the owner was awesome. She made us feel special.

Dropped down to the area to go to the Shore Club to see a favorite band. Wanted to stay the night and discovered this gem. The building is very old and interesting. Room was smaller but well appointed. Breakfast was amazing. No real parking

Susan was a great host, an awesome breakfast. We stay in a couple places a few night before we stayed here. This was the best accommodation by far. We had room 80 and recommend it to anyone, plus the little town of Chester is perfect if you like being near water and peace and quiet. 5 stars

Great accommodations and excellent 2nd storey balcony to enjoy a tea or wine. Nice rooms and lots of space. Breakfast was enjoyable and host was hospitable. Chester's a nice town but not much to see or do here. We just came from Lunenberg full of history and culture so hard to match that experience in Chester.
