We had a booking at Hawkesbury and realized that was not what we signed up for. It was already 10pm and we had to make a last minute change to drive to Baddeck and needed an accomoation. We called a B & B place and were given the number of Telegraph House and glad we called Sean. He was kind...

I had booked this hotel through a discounted website. Got to the hotel and was given the room to the left of the porch. We got what I paid for I guess, though pricey for what was provided. The room is all lavender lace with a lavender bathroom and small TV. Curtains are lace too. This room does not have...

Stay one night in two basic rooms on third floor. No elevator and narrow staircases. Rooms had hardwood floors but hall and stairway carpets were old and ugly. Balconies are nice but looked unsafe and no chairs were provided. No luggage racks provided so no where to put luggage. Bathroom was clean but small. Had dinner in the dining room....

The main building has been kept in very good repair and is reminiscent of its early days as a hotel/boarding house. Lovely decor with books and games and several cozy seating areas. Adam in the front office was extremely helpful and cheerful. We stayed in cabin #40, which was a "duplex:" it shared a communal front porch with #41. It...

We booked in the main house but when we arrived were "upgraded" to the back motel. This motel was 80s theme trying to be a Victorian B&B. The room was clean but had a musty smell and scratchy sheets. Baddeck was beautiful but would not recommend visiting before the season starts in July. The restaurant at the Telegraph did not...

We really wanted to like this place because the lodge itself is beautiful and historic, but when we got into our motel room in the back, it was so noisy - due to a neighbor's late-night construction project - that we had to switch rooms. We ended up in the lodge but in a room that was barely big enough...

We stayed in a duplex cabin behind the hotel. It was a small room, but comfortable. The bathroom had been recently remodeled. There was a small porch overlooking the lake, nice to sit out in the evening. The owner was helpful and shared some good information about the area. We stayed three nights, and it was a good location for...

Greeted at the front desk by the owner, a very genuine and charming fellow. The style really feels like it fits the small town, and the simple beauty of Cape Breton. The room was small, but clean, romantic, and charming with a comfortable bed. Glass cups with the coffee maker seemed odd, would have preferred mugs or disposable. TV and...

Not a bed and breakfast but a shabby motel. While advertised as antique decor that is only true of the lobby...our room was shabby. Very small. The promised jet tub did not work. Couldn't get tv to work ....figured out it was unplugged as not enough plug ins for the room. Nothing a power bar could not have fixed but...
