We paid for the last room available in this 180 plus room/cottage complex. We had a basement cottage with two bedrooms, a kitchenette and living room. Our party of four was less than enamoured with the room but as it was late and we were tired we decided to stay even after seeing the room. It was well worn, with...

This older resort is still very beautiful:) It is a three minute walk to the fabulous Baddeck Lobster Suppers:). I would definitely return. The Thistledown pub is a beautiful little spot to enjoy a bite or in my case a nice cold beer on the patio.

The Inverary resort is on a beautiful waterside setting.. we were early to check in and given directions for a place to hike to a nearby waterfalls . Enjoyed relaxing in the dining room with entertainment by a local musician that was great. Definitely recommend as a great stop over especially for those traveling through the Cabot Trail as did.

We were top floor of old barn, 3rd floor & slopy roofs. So many buildings a really cool place. 2nd night a wedding so I not really sure if that was the group scerinading our building. Sounded like a lot of them singing around 930 then again from 130-230 only a few men were able to sleep thru it, no...

Lovely location with many choices for accommodations. Rooms are accessed from the outdoors. Has a nice conference room for large gatherings or weddings. Loved the walk outside to breakfast in the morning and strolling the park like setting in the evening. They even offer a campfire and s' mores.

Very nice resort - picturesque. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean. Restaurant was good. Bonfire at night with s'mores. I liked walking the grounds . I felt like I was staying in a USA National Park Lodge. There are local restaurant, with fresh seafood in easy walking distance. It was enjoyable

There were 4 of us, all women, so we booked two rooms. It's an old Inn so we expected some age to show but the service was great, beds were good, food was excellent.....except for dessert which was listed as Ice Cream Sundae w maple syrup sauce, whipped cream and the proverbial cherry on top. When it arrived, all 4...

This resort was a big disappointment, for the rooms being close to 200 extremely outdated and not worth the price. The pillows and beds are very uncomfortable. The only good thing about this place was the view on the water (which you can drive down to it anyways). Other than that I don't recommend this resort to anyone.

Was a very cute place, great live music in the pub. The room itself left something to be desired but clean. Loved the outdoor hot tub. We drove from here part of the Cabot trail. So worth it and a great home base for such an excursion.

Even though it is conveniently located for the Cabot Trail and situated right by the beautiful lake, the Inverary Resort was a disappointment on all accounts. Our room in the main building was outdated, particularly regarding the very noisy but terribly inefficient air conditioning and bathroom ventilation and the phone. There was also considerable noise coming from upstairs: every step...
