Detailed Reviews
This campground was just what I needed on the most northern tip of Newfoundland.
Power and water hookups and very friendly owners. Pad site was level and the 15A sites were pull through. $35/nt plus tax. Laundry and showers on site.
What I wasn’t expecting was the owner cooking breakfast each morning! What a treat for $12! Full breakfast! Homemade bread and other treats for sale. Brother of the owner takes campers out on iceberg tour too!
Wood stove warming the office and dining area was just the icing on the cake! Would stay again without hesitation!

Didn’t stay here but stopped in to get water for our rv while passing through. The proprietor was very friendly & hospitable allowing us to fill our tanks at the park for no charge. The park looked extremely well maintained, had spacious sites, and a nice playground. It was also located very close & convenient to the area attractions and had a water access spot for enjoying the view. The store also had amazing oatmeal raisin cookies!

Well kept, clean campground.. bathrooms were heated, clean, lots of hot water. The host has homemade baking and bread, as well as nice local crafts for sale. Good cell service at this location. On-site wifi was good. Great location in proximity to local tours and restaurants

There are some campgrounds with stunning views and amenities, and those campgrounds get Excellent. This one deserves Very Good because it is. We were the only people booked in the campground that evening, on a windy, very hot day. It was a tad bleak, in that it is a gravel lot with services and no separations between campers. There were lots of bugs that night and drove us inside at dusk with our visiting friend who lives in the town. But I firmly believe this is a place where magic can happen.
We were invited to pop over and visit the other campers who drove in and stayed the night. We went over for a chat, some music, and we had a lovely visit with two local people they met that day in the next town who dropped by. We had a fire and that drove the bugs away. It was light out until after 11 PM. Magic.
Husband and I were hot and sweaty and coated with fly dope, so we took showers. Lots of hot water available in clean bathrooms. Not the highest water pressure in the world, but it did the job!
The owner told us she usually offers breakfast, moose burgers and many baked goods for sale. I hope things got busy after the travel restrictions loosened.
I wouldn't have liked to stay in the park if it was fully booked, but that would have been OK I imagine.
I wish Grace well and look forward to staying at Viking RV Park in the future.

Side by side gravel sites with picnic table, 30 amp and water $30. Also 15 amp sites available. Clean heated toilet, shower and laundry. Lots of hot water. As others have said excellent full breakfast available, as well as jams and baking. Less than 10 minutes to L’Anse aux Meadows.

This moderately well maintained trailer/RV campsite with a small tent camping area has great potential, despite it's unfortunate location next to the main highway. It is extremely close to the L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site however.
The washrooms we're well appointed and finished in eastern white pine with individual light switches in each toilet stall. Shower heads were unfortunately quite awkward to operate and no benches we're provided to put on foot wear. Interesting decorative art work.
The camp store was well stocked with many local artifacts including fine baked bread. Grace the practitioner and staff were quite friendly.
Recycling receptacle does not accept paper or plastic!!
The grounds we're not too attractive. There was little or no tree cover or shrubs for privacy and shade...but this may be expected at this northern location.

We stayed at this RV Park with our 5th Wheel for 4 nights while we toured northern Newfoundland. The hostess was very hospitable and offered breakfast or supper. We enjoyed a delicious & hearty breakfast. Also purchased her homemade blueberry pie and homemade partridge berry jam.Wifi was available. Full service sites available. Laundry & showers available.

Great place to stay to explore this corner of Newfoundland. Water and electric, convenient dump station, immaculate bathrooms and shower facilities. Grace and her sister cook up a storm every day. We had breakfast one day and it was delicious. We also bought a couple of loaves of her fresh baked bread - scrumptious with partridgeberry jam!
Laundromat was clean and machines worked perfectly. While we were there there was a caravan of 25 motorhomes in the upper level, plus the dozen or so sites in the lower level, not to mention the tents, so I was amused by the person who commented in their review that it was a "small" park. I guess if you expect hundreds of sites, sure, but this park was the perfect size.
My only concern, which was shared by the folk in the trailer next to us, was the inconsistency of the hydro, especially in the mornings when the big rigs were pulling hard on it. Our surge protector kept shutting us down due to low voltage issues.
Would I stay here again? Absolutely.

Stayed three days in a 45’ Class A Motorcoach. Only 30 amp service, but good 30 amp service. Park itself is clean and well kept.Bathrooms, showers and laundry area spotless. Grace the owner is friendly and helpful. She arranged a great Cod fishing trip with her brother Boyce for my wife and I. Had a great time, caught our limit in less than an hour, big fish. Boyce pricing is very reasonable. We had several people discourage us from coming up north because of the roads,we thought the roads overall were in good condition.
