During a recent visit to Grand Manan Island, we ate dinner one evening at the Inn at Whale Cove. Since the dining room is small, reservations are necessary. Our server was efficient and friendly. The food was good (I had the haddock) but not exceptional. The two fine dining restaurants on the island are pricey, which is a drawback to the...

After a disappointingly overpriced dinner at Compass Rose the night before - this place was recommended by an art shop owner. So glad we got the last available table reservation. Food and service were wonderful. Fish was to die for and dessert beyond scrumptious. If you've reserved dinner anywhere else cancel and book here😃❤️

Within the charming atmosphere enjoy the ambiance of the historical 1816 Inn and the beauty of the secluded cliffside waterview. Perfect pairings of light dressings and condiments compliment your choice of appetizer of alamari, paté, warm goat cheese salad,or the delicate essence of the mushroom soup. Fresh local seafood may include lobster, haddock, or scallops tastefully presented with delicate sauces....

I have always wanted to stay at the the Inn, but my previous excursions to the island were not of a nature that permitted it, but this year I had my chance and made reservations. What a wonderful experience! I stayed in the Bungelow Cottage and was struck by the loving care of this place. Very well kept up. It...

What a lovely spot! My husband and I stayed at the Inn 3 nights for our anniversary stay, we wanted a spot that was special and (relatively) affordable, and this hit the mark. For a higher end stay on the island, you get your money's worth with the great food, great view, tranquillity and romance! We stayed in the beautiful...

Stayed in Miss Eloise Derby room, plenty of room and thoughtful details. Grounds beautiful. Excellent view of Whale Cove. Breakfast included and excellent. We chose to dine there 2 nights and food was superior. Would definitely return! 💟

If you're looking for a standard issue, Holiday Inn Express type of place to stay...well, this isn't it. Then again, if that's what you're looking for you won't find it anywhere on Grand Manan anyway. If, however, you love places in a beautiful natural setting, with history, character, and some creaky, quirky charm, where you can really appreciate the wonders...

My husband and I did not stay at the inn but we had the opportunity to enjoy dinner there one evening. Reservations are a must and well worth it. The setting allows for great views of the gardens. The food was excellent and very nicely prepared. The deserts were amazing too.

We stayed in John's Flat after stopping in to see the dinner menu and finding out that it was open for two nights. The king bed in John's Flat is one of the best beds I have ever slept in. The view was incredible. And there is a resident pheasant family that makes itself known from time to time. Dinner...
