Bait and switch. And, false advertising. Plus no greeting or friendliness by onsite staff which may have also been owners or managers. Vibe from them was creepy and negative. Our booking confirmed "family suite" with 2 queen beds. There were clear pictures on website which “family suite” in main lodge/building (versus individual cabins which were also available). "Guests of our...

We are very sorry we did not notice the mistake made by our booking servce and booking.com that mixed the bookings for a few of our units. The mistake has been fixed. The Hiker Hilton is a rustic place for hikers. We did not make a swift to ruin your holiday. There is no cell phone service in the town...

Connie checked us in and rattled off lots of info - some of which assumed local knowledge. Some was wrong - there is a path along the shoreline between Botany and Botanical Bays. Our room upstairs was very roomy but basically furnished with a wooden floor. The bathroom was showing its age - enamel worn through on basin. The table...

My parents and I enjoyed our recent stay at Trailhead. The manager Connie was very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were filled with plants and trees providing colour and privacy. Hikes were a short drive from the hotel.

I came to Port Renfrew for the first time with a group of family and friends for the May long weekend. We stayed in a two bedroom cabin and really enjoyed our time hanging out at the resort. Our group incuded children under the age of 3 and it was nice having the lawn area to let the kids run...

My family (2 adults, 2 young children) live in Victoria, and decided to get away for a weekend, and take in the sights around Port Renfrew. We stayed in Cabin #5 at Trailhead Resort, and we were extremely pleased with our entire experience. The owner was very kind; the cabin was very clean, and well-equipped. My kids enjoyed how spacious...

We were travelling from Vancouver to conquer the West Coast Trail and since we didn't leave the city until late in the afternoon we didn't make Port Renfrew until quite late. What we required for night one was simply a place to rest our heads (preferably not in our tents) so the Hiker Huts more than did the trick. We...

We stayed September 22, and 23, 2015. We were on a trip with our 2 & 5 year old sons and au pair. We decided to splurge on the cabins for comfort and were very disappointed with the experience. We found the floor to be very dirty on first arrival, I swept a fair amount of sand and dirt off...

Super clean inside and out. Hot tub, fire pit, easy walk to a very nice pub/restaurant down at the marina. We had some guys in the hiker huts and some in a cabin, both were excellent. Huts have shared shower and bath, cabins have everything including kitchens.

We were a party of 4 on our first fishing trip ever. Connie was pleasant to deal with and in fact all of the staff were very welcoming. On the night we arrived the staff were having a little gathering and welcomed us into their group. We all shared a salmon that was caught earlier in the day and it...
