Stayed 3 nights in the lodge. Ok the facilities and equipment may not be shiny and new, but from idyllic position, atmosphere and a real relaxing retreat which is close to nature, Hidden Cove Lodge is hard to beat. It is comfortable, good value, has good food, lovely relaxation areas and it is so nice that the owners take such...

Ok ..let me say that we had a great time... 63 and 60 yo adults .. from Mass ... Hidden Cove Lodge was very nice--3 nights .. we were in room # 1 , which is basically right beside the kitchen and the lounge and the dining room ... Privacy ..not too much .. but the rooms are ok ,...

Found the lodge easily enough, it is well signposted. Lodge is in a beautiful natural setting. We stayed in the lodge, but it does have apartments for larger families. We were welcomed on arrival and taken to our room. The room was clean and exactly what we expected. It is a lodge and not an executive hotel. The owners are...

Very nice stay. Of course if you wish a 5 star hotel it's not your target. If you like to be close to incontaminated nature, yes it's great. Deers, bears at dinner, racoons... Easy to find if you properly watch the signs , please , enjoy a very good dinner with very good crabs. Important: you have to respect the...

As you can see from other reviews it could be either. If you want a modern boutique hotel experience with Michelin star cooking fancy toiletries wide screen TV wifi roomservice fluffy bathrobes then this is not for you. If you want a more rustic experience staying in a place the owner has built with his own hands, peace and quiet...

Actually visited in July 2012 but am a little late with my review! This was our second visit to HCL as we'd promised ourselves we'd be back after our first visit in 2010. We stayed in the main lodge, not one of the cabins. This time we had a double room upstairs. Rooms are adequate. They're not huge and full...

My husband and I stayed here last summer for 4 nights. While the wildlife in and around the property is wonderful, and the only reason to visit in my estimation, the lodge itself was lacking. Most of our problem with our stay had to do with the owner and wife. The owner while TRYING to be amusing is mostly offensive...

The setting is very nice but far away from everything. Port Mc Neill is the closest small village and is 20 min driving. The rooms are clean but very small and it was a problem to stow away our travel bags and find place for the backpack and photo equipment. We were lucky to see river otters from the lodge...

My family and I had some friends visiting with us from Australia so we decided that a trip 'up island' would be in order. I chose the Hidden Cove Lodge based on other Trip Advisor reviews. What a very disappointing experience. I attempted to contact these guys on a number of occasions and when I did eventually speak with someone...

As soon as you get to the main entrance of the Lodge, you see a warning message which tells you to keep the main door closed since bears and racoons are around. It is true! Just when we got in the hall we so three bears and one raccoon. Outside of course! Rooms are very comfortable and with all facilities...
