Fantastic accommodations were better than I expected. With riders ranging from beginner to accomplished, the Wrangers managed to keep everyone happy on 2 full day rides. If you are looking for the relaxed family style ranch experience, I wouldn't look any further.

Big Bar is always a great adventure. I traveled with my daughter and her boyfriend. We are all serious riders and never disappointed. The terrain is stunning with views that take your breath away. The food is always good, people are always fun, and the Golats are great hosts. For us though, it is about the horses, and they are...

I stayed with my family of five in the Coyote Lodge. We spent four nights in total, and all took 4 rides over our stay. The lodge and common spaces are not luxurious, but they are simple, clean and very comfortable. Very... The lodges are log build, which has a charm of its own, and our lodge had a kitchen....

Located in a stunning remote area this was an experience I had not done before, but provided a perfect stop for three nights on my way to Jasper from Vancouver. We were a family of four so two adults and two children/youths and were in lodge number 1 which had a well equipped kitchen and a cosy feel to the...

Big Bar offers both full and half day rides. The food was perfect for buffet style and the drinks were inexpensive. There are lots of...

Both the staff, stock and guests were welcoming at Big Bar Guest Ranch! I was traveling around B.C. on my own and thought this would be a great way to see The Cariboo. It really was. Just a few hours from Kelowna, I decided to rent a car and enjoy the scenic drive. I only stayed a few days but...

We had a great experience at Big Bar Guest Ranch (BBGR). They were super accommodating as our trip was delayed a day because our 4 year old daughter had been sick. They had no problem moving our reservations. The food was excellent and BBGR were able to accommodate my wife's gluten free diet too! The cabin was exactly what we...

This is a real Cariboo ranch. Don't come expecting fancy and having your hand held. There are bugs, rustic cabins and it IS WONDERFUL. Our family had the best vacation. Our hosts were very easy going, friendly, great to our daughter, as they are parents as well. Our wranglers were so experienced and respectful with the horses. My husband went...
