Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We arrived here early on the 30th august . We were greeted with a food bag and a bottle of wine as it was my birthday that day . That’s really as good as it got . I have read all the reviews about the food so kind of knew what to expect but I still hoped it would be better . The most exciting bit about breakfast was if it was fried or scrambled egg . It was that repetitive. You should bring your own spreads and butter . The evening meal was carb central . It was 3 choices of meat being a veggie no use to me and there was always 1 veggie choice normally cabbage stew . All the Norms really chips , potatoes, rice . There is an a la carte restaurant downstairs so why not put more effort into the food upstairs . Fish was on offer twice in 14 days . The holiday was cheap so that is maybe why . The grounds are beautiful . You should have a look round . The pool was lovely and a lovely pool bar where the beer was £1.50 . I wouldn’t come back but did meet some lovely people . The only reason this is given high ratings is because people come back every year to see other guests to meet up . I spoke to a few people who said they have been coming back for 10 or so years . But if this was their first time they wouldn’t bother . It does have potential and needs updating and if you eat out every night then the hotel food doesn’t matter .

Small family hotel. In central location, bus stops not far from hotel also the little tourist train stops outside. Staff are friendly, room was a good size. Quite dated but very clean. Lovely shower with loads of hot water and very powerful. Nice balcony with table and 2 chairs plus clothes airer. Food was ok, nothing fancy but eatable. Nice pool and play park for kiddies. The gardens are lovely with loads of little nooks and crannies to explore. Plenty of outside seating with umbrellas. Would stay here again if I'm back in Bulgaria. Thanks to the staff team.

The hotel is a good base but the food is really bad, Most reviews say how bad the food is they even managed to ruin frozen chips The food is cold and I like mine hot. Salad consisted of Lettuce cucumber and Tomato I purchased an onion from the supermarket and took it to dinner with me. I’ve been to Bulgaria 7 times and it used to be cheap to eat out but it isn’t anymore Sunday Lunch for 2 a beer and sparkling water is around £40 and it’s not a roast as we know it. We didn’t normally bother about Hotel food not being good because we ate out but going forward it does matter it’s too expensive. Don’t believe the websites who say it’s cheap to eat out in Bulgaria because it isn’t anymore

I stayed in this hotel with my daughter and her 2 teenage sons from 8th - 21st August 2022, and I can easily say it is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We are not fussy people and understand this is a 3 star so are prepared to overlook it if things aren't exactly as expected, but we were not expecting it to be quite so bad. The food was extremely basic with little or no choice. There was never any variation. The rooms were not swept and had dust and dirt collected in the corners. My pillow was a cushion in a pillow case. There was no bottom sheet, just a strip of material that went the length of the bed. The maid never made our beds, just covered them over each day. Some of the reception staff were very unhelpful. One even refused to help us with the phone number for our Rep and refused to call him herself. Having said all this, the pool area was lovely as were the gardens around the hotel. The best part was the ground floor bar and restaurant (although the food was just as bad and we had to pay for that). It was in a very attractive setting with lots of potted plants etc. and the man who served us there was the friendliest and most helpful of everyone. After reading the good reports on this and other sites, I just wonder if they were staying in a different hotel. I can't believe we were the only people who had this bad experience.

We stayed here for 11 nights in June and upon arriving at 2am to check in we were handed a bag each which had sandwiches and fruit with bottles of water! Not expected and they did not need to do this for us. We were upgraded to a poolside apartment too and was a great room! The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. Me and my partner found the food was nice but unfortunately struggled to keep our 8 year old happy (too fussy). Absolutely no complaints and there is plenty bars at walking distance too. 5 minute walk to the beach and about 10 mins to the centre. Would highly recommend!

stopped here for 11 nights and the room was lovely and clean with a fridge and good aircon. the pool area is spacious and always loads of sunbeds, the only thing that lets this hotel down is the food it was awful and loads of people were complaining we were half board and ate out every day. lucky it was cheap enough to eat out but you shouldn’t have to.

The Trakia garden Hotel in Sunny Beach Bulgaria is a family run hotel set back from the main street surrounded by gardens and patios giving an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation. The spacious pool area with bar is a popular attraction with adults and children alike for sunbathing, swimming and socialising and a few steps brings you to the patio bar for lunch and drinks. The friendly staff at the Trakia garden are always there to help make your stay and I personally know three generations of this amazing family by name and would recommend a stay here as your introduction to this wonderful tourist destination that is Bulgaria

Myself & my partner are here now, another blissful 9 days to go. Its everything we wanted. We absolutely love the hotel. All the staff are helpful & friendly. We opted for b&b and we love the relaxing athmosphere in the breakfast rooms. We find we have plenty to choose from & its very good. Im a big fruit fan so I buy from a stall not far away & bring it with me. There isnt fruit provided but thats ok! The character in the hotel is fabulous & of course the gardens are beautiful. Our room has a lovely pool view, nice balcony, very clean, super shower , comfy beds, good aircon. What more can you ask for. We love our tea ,so we packed a travel kettle & just bought cheap mugs etc. The fridge is perfect for our water, milk etc. We love the bar , again full of character. The pool is a lovely size & there's tons of sunbeds with a nice soft cover on each. Nobody does or needs to reserve beds in the morning. There is also an outdoor bar, tables & chairs. We are very happy with the location, everything on your doorstep yet relaxing & quiet. Its about 15 min walk to flower street or 10 if you're a good walker. If you're into flower street partying half the night it probably isnt your style of hotel. Its not grand but as ive said full of character & quirkiness. We will definitely return here on our next holiday 🙂🙂🙂
