My husband and I arrived to the Taylor House on Friday, November 11 for a two-night stay. Scott (the owner) certainly knows the meaning of the word "gracious", as we were treated with the most gracious experience, comparable to that of a five-diamond experience that you would find at very expensive hotels/resorts. Upon our arrival, Scott sat down with us... More

My wife and I arrived at Taylor House Inn having had to adjust our check-in time a few hours later than we expected. Our host, Scott (aided by his wife Karen), was very gracious in adjusting his schedule to accommodate our later arrival time, and spent a good fifteen minutes orienting us to the house, local restaurants, and points of... If you're looking for a place to stay in busy downtown Wilming, THIS is you're place! It's located on a quaint brick street with huge oak trees and even bigger historic homes. Short walk to the River front with shopping and dining. The first thing I noticed when we pulled up was the beautiful porch swing(s) on a spacious front... More

From minute one of our arrival Scott was an amazing host! Starting with the best places to eat in town for dinner, to leaving coffee every morning for myself and a cold beverage for my husband! Breakfast in the morning was truly an event to look forward to because it was only something that you would be served in a... More

Scott was so helpful in advance regarding details like parking and information on the area. He gave detailed restaurant advice and made certain guests had everything they needed including ironing boards and beverages. The room was immaculate and the sheets were ironed! I haven't seen that since my grandmother was alive! The breakfast time was changed to meet the needs... More

Picture yourself as a member of the Crawley family (or "the Family") on TV's "Downtown Abbey" and you will imagine a fair idea of what experience awaits one as a guest of The Taylor House Inn. My wife and I recently vacationed in Wilmington and booking a room at the Taylor House was the most important choice of our trip.... More

Taylor house Inn is the perfect place to stay in Wilmington. Its (original!) Victorian atmosphere, the superb breakfast, truly homemade with care by Scott, and the fine taste in the bedroom's details, made us live a unique experience. Scott is a great and qualified host, with a nice sense of humour and attentive to all our needs. It was a... More

My wife and I spent last weekend at the Taylor House for a romantic anniversary weekend. Nicely located on a quiet neighborhood street just blocks from the Wilmington downtown and waterfront. The house is spectacular. Our room was very spacious and well appointed. We had a private bath adjoining our room. Breakfast was superb. I recommend the Taylor House for... More
