I was in Washington during the week of Thanksgiving due to surgery my 81 year old mother was having to undergo at Washington Hospital. My stay at the Pamlico House offered me the respite and comfort I needed at the end of each day. I was able to walk to the waterfront to slough off the stress from the day...

We enjoyed our stay at this B&B. The breakfast was good, and Virginia was kind and personable. We stayed in the NOLA room; it was the last room available. The room is nice, but it is somewhat separated from the rest of the house. It even has a separate entrance. It is also pet friendly (we did not bring our...

We arrived late and left early. We were in the B&? for less the 12 hours. When i received a bill, the owner charged me $30 to put our breakfast into a paper bag and then she tells me that she charged me for Breakfast?? Isn't this a bed and breakfast?? Not happy. Would not return, nor recommend.

We are very sorry we were not clear enough regarding the additional charge for the three “to-go” breakfasts requested. We serve a delicious full cooked breakfast every day between 8-10 AM. However, as yummy as it is it would not travel well. Therefore, when a guest requires portable food, especially at 6:30, before the kitchen opens there is an additional...

The pamlico house is beautiful. The rooms are very nice, the bathrooms are a little small but other than that nice. The innkeeper was not very accomidating and not friendly at all. Usually bed and breakfasts are run by warm friendly people. Not so here.

I am very sorry and distressed Jane21550 did not feel welcome at the Pamlico House. As innkeeper and owner I do my very best to make sure my guests feel welcome and comfortable because I take pride in being an excellent hostess and my livelihood depends on it. I sincerely wish I had known or been made aware of Jane21550’s...

Just stopped for one night on the way to beach. Booked same day online which was convenient. The owner was away and arranged to get us a key ... Felt a bit more like airbnb than a B&B but also cool as it was also very private. Her dinner recommendation was spot on. The house is old as you would...

We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary with family and friends this weekend at the Pamlico House. Our out of town guests spent the weekend and were treated as royalty by Virginia, our gracious host. The inn is elegant and comfortable and accented with beautiful antiques. The rooms are beautifully decorated and pristine, but very cozy. Breakfasts were delicious and beautifully...

A wonderful weekend spent in Washington, NC with friends to celebrate the 30th anniversary of a special couple. The room was fantastic, breakfast both mornings was delicious and hot. Virginia is a wonderful hostess and was quick to supply any need. The porch was a great place to visit and utilize when the house was filled with friends on Saturday...

Got the privilege to stay at The Pamlico for the weekend. A friend secured the house for her out of town guest to stay, dine and to celebrate their anniversary. The host is gracious and a wonderful cook. The rooms are spacious, clean and each has a private bathroom. Went for walks alone and with friends to the waterfront, to...

Wedding Anniversary brought us to Pamlico House for an amazing weekend. My first stay in B&B but wont be my last. The event was hosted by the innkeeper. The décor was lovely and food was fabulous. The location was so much more fun than a hotel. It allowed guest to gather through out the day on the porch or parlor....

Nice historic 1700's structure on a corner lot just a short walk to downtown. Adequate street parking. Very nice innkeeper who greeted my wife and I to give us a tour and run down of house history as well as breakfast schedule and such. There is a frig upstairs with sodas ad reading material. One television in the main sitting...

I am sorry the bathroom exhaust fan was too loud. The observation is appreciated and I am happy to say that since reading the review the issue has been resolved. Our first seating for breakfast is at 8:00 but our guests can choose a later time and I apologize for not explaining that better. I am very sad you found...
