My husband and I stayed here in the early 90's (pre-children); and now that we are empty nesters, decided to make a return visit. We were pleasantly surprised that it was as good or better than before. We stayed in the Cousin Sarah room, with its position on the third floor and sitting room just outside our room... it felt... As frequent guests of the Mast Farm Inn (#12), we again were not disappointed. This time, we brought our friends from Arizona to experience this quaint inn for a four-night stay. First, the location is exceptional, especially during the beautiful fall season. Second, the lodging is superb with beautifully decorated rooms and quite comfortable beds. Third, the breakfasts were exceptionally... More

Just what we were looking for, peace and non-stressful trip. The unassuming cottage we stayed in was so cool. The entire house is built from wood, we are from South Florida so we have sheetrock, slate floors, granite countertops, so this was a WONDERFUL appearance. From the moment we drove up to this great, I mean amazing bed and breakfast... More

Danielle and the staff were extremely concerned with what we were expecting from our trip. Attention to detail was so evident. We stayed in the Loom Cabin and it was so comfortable and the history of the cabin so interesting. The breakfast was exceptional. They suggested a wonderful area by the river for a picnic lunch, we never would have... More

The trip got off to a really bad start. I emailed ahead of my visit to see if early check in was available. Jessie told me that I could stop by around 1pm to see if the room was ready. We arrived after 1pm and the person at the front desk greeted us only with “You’re early. Really early. There... More

Wow - what a wonderful experience! The Inn is charming and my room was simply perfect. The attention to detail was extraordinary. The bed and linens were incredibly comfortable and I just can't say enough good things about the charm, the decor, and the service. The clawfoot bathtub in the Cherry Room makes it my immediate favorite. Soooo relaxing! It... More

On a trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway we stayed at the Mast Farm Inn. I have wanted to stay here for a long time but just was never in the area. Our past few bed and breakfast experiences have not been the best and I really wanted a special stay to break the cycle of disappointments. I can happily... More

The Mast Farm Inn did not fail to disappoint us in every imaginable way. This bad experience began the moment we stepped out of our car and onto the front porch. Bird Poop. Everywhere. Had to walk through it to enter the Inn. Yuck.(pressure cleaner anyone?) Next, we were greeted by the smell of stale bacon grease. Unfortunately, this smell... More

Where does the Website indicate that the "restaurant with organic vegetables & fabulous chef" is only on Friday and Saturday nights? Must be the smallest print EVER! Just so you know there are NO decent restaurants close by and NO dinner is served at the Mast Farm Inn Sunday through Thursday. BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!!! SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! Please post BIG...
