My wife and I enjoyed a quiet, restful evening at this hotel. This place was very clean with abundant towels and other room amenities. We were pleased with the size of the corner room. Breakfast was wonderfully presented and plentiful. All in all, a very nice experience with friendly staff.
The folks at the fd are super friendly. We stayed 2 nights, the rooms are clean and spacious. Only issue I had was with the bed, I kept sliding off of it. I guess it was the bed pad they had on it. lol
I love this hotel - all the staff members are friendly from the front desk to the breakfast host to the cleaning people. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Great breakfast and I love hearing those roosters crow up the hill. My son attends WCU and this is the only place I will stay. I am a travel agent so I am always looking at every detail at hotels. Don't miss this one!
Overall the stay was good. We had a hard time adjusting the AC in the room though; it was either too humid or too cold. Check in staff was very friendly. Breakfast was typical hotel fare with eggs, sausage, pancakes, fruit, oatmeal, etc. Hotel is about 15-20 mins from WCU. We had a room on the backside of the hotel and didn’t hear the roosters until we came out of the hotel to get in our car.
So we called this hotel on our way thru the smokies looked nice ... really good reviews. They had a room ! Yay! Super excited! Welllll then we arrived asked for a room away from the roosters we heard from outside which they did manage to do that. I also gave them my email address to become a member to acquire points! So we get to our room and our view in the mountains was a rooftop with air conditioning stuff ? Paid 190$ and that was a government rate !!!!? For that!! Just so u know we called Comfort Inn who was booked but government rate was 95$! The last room had been booked but we found this place and when we saw reviews were excited ! Well I don’t want someone to be as excited as we were. Bed are subpar. Very firm. Very. I mean yeah room was clean front desk people…
