Was quoted one price on the phone charged another rented for my daughter. They said they miss quoted but refused to make it right. Thank You to my bank for correcting their wrong practices. Don't recommend them at all
Never expected to pay $88, even on a weekend night, but we were tired and shellshocked at being quoted $136 at a Super 8 in Cherokee back up the road. Although the slogan on their card says "cool by the creek," this dumpy little place is across a narrow driveway from the railroad tracks. Tiny room smelled bad when we first entered, but it either went away or we got used to it, Bed was mega-comfortable, so that made almost all the problems go away. Exception was wi-fi, which I could never get connected. Probably won't stay there again.
When we called, the price was 89.99, when we arrived, it was 102.00. Was even given a confirmation# with the 89.99 p price, they wouldn't honor it! All other motels were booked. We should have drove another 20 minutes to stay somewhere else. The shower was good Friday night, however, Saturday morning, we had no got water. I guess there is 2 or 3 rooms on 1 little electric water heater. Clean room, but it's not worth more than 11.99 a night!!!
We checked out the room before paying, and the employee told me that they would be tearing out the vintage pink tile and green bath fixtures. After staying there, I think they would be wise to put the money into the mattresses instead. The bathrooms are about the only redeeming cosmetic quality in this hotel. The location is great, with the creek directly out the back window, I opened the window to hear the creek at night. It is also within walking distance of the cute downtown and brewery. But we slept like crap, the mattresses really need replaced. We missed sleeping in our van, honestly. I think we overpaid at around seventy dollars for the off season, but it was nice to have a good shower and a place within walking distance of downtown. Front desk employee was extremely friendly.…
My girlfriend and i were staying there while i worked in sylva, left one evening for 2 hours and came back to a completely empty room. Every belonging we had was gone even our dirty clothes to the night light she had in the wall. Management said it was my fault because the window was open, and i didnt open the window. Do not stay there
