We stayed 2 nights in a camper site. It's a lovely place with friendly staff. The bathhouse has an odd smell, but clean. No heat in the bathhouse but shower is hot. All camp sites are on the river (tents) or just back from that with a good view. Lots of trees for shade. Would be great for large groups.it...

Absolutely perfect spot for a family trip. We reserved two water and electric sites (even though we were tent camping. I prefer to cook on an electric griddle and skillet for most items and we needed a fan for the 3 little girls). We had nice sized sites for multiple tents. Nice bath house. Took the shuttle for the 5...

Just came back from a nice trip to New River Campground. Some friends invited me to join them for a couple days. The cool weather was a nice break.I did not tube or canoe, however the rains had just passes thru and water levels were great for the ones that did.If you have a big camper it can be a little tight. The staff...

This campground is located on the New River and has that to offer but not much more. the layout is not great with tight RV spots and a difficult grade on a single lane driveway to reach the place. The staff are ok but they all seem to smoke like freight trains so you have to deal with that a...

I've stayed here three times now and every time had a good experience. The bath house is cleaned several times a day and night and is bug free. The sites are clean and well maintained. There's wifi available at the camp store. Best of all is the access to the river for swimming and canoeing! The first time we went...

Lodging - Reserved a 'camping cabin' for myself, my wife and daughter. Upon check in, discovered dust and spiders throughout, and nests of wasps crawling/flying all over the wood on porch and overhead of exterior. Allergic to bees, I elected to change to a campsite. At the office she asked me "Did they forget to 'blow out' the cabin"? I...

I'm very glad we only stayed 1 night at this campground. My grandmother and I reserved a "cabin" to stay in on the grounds. When we arrived, we found out that calling it a cabin was way over exaggerating. The little dingy 7x8' hut was in terrible condition. Dirt and grime covered the floor, the tiny window screen was completely...

I called the first day they opened to make reservations to make sure my family and I got the spot and dates we needed. I called back a week ahead and was told there was another name on the books. Poorly organized and was basically told by the management that there was nothing they could do and took no blame....

As a child/preteen, I visited NRC several times. It holds many fond memories for me. I was more than excited to share the simplicity and beauty of this place with my family. I plan to continue to go here year after year. There were 6 of us that visited/stayed (2 adults, 4 kids). Not one time did anyone say "Im...

My wife and I camped here for 2 nights last weekend and had a great time. The setting (right along the New River) and grounds (well maintained with large shaded tent sights) make this one of the better private campgrounds we've stayed at. Prices were fine ($21 for tents). There was a small store on sight if you needed it....
