Delicious meals as always. We had no idea that the pub had changed hands until hearing about it at a cellar door after lunch. The food was of the same high quality we had experienced under the previous owners. The BnB is exceptionally good value. To be clear - the criticisms I've seen in previous reviews are accurate. The room...

Thank-you Mick, Ally and staff for a great evening of wining and dining. My wife and I dined at The Rising Sun Hotel in late December 2016 and enjoyed our meal very much. We chose a local red wine which was a perfect accompaniment to our food. The dining room is small but friendly with beautiful inlaid stucco designed type...

I have been eating at The rising Sun hotel for a number of years, I took my new partner there a couple of weeks ago and we had the most enjoyable meal in a relaxed friendly environment... food was fresh, well presented and full of flavour. The new owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I...

We've been big fans of the Rising Sun Hotel for a number of years, however tonight's dinner was truely awful. Lettuce in salads was slimy, black & obviously not edible, service was well below average. We had to ask for an ice bucket for our bottle of wine. We ate very little of our meals & won't eat there again....

Couldn't work out where to eat so stopped by and was not disappointed. Excellent menu for lunch and dinner. Has a tapas menu as well. Got a few things off the tapas menu and was surprised a country pub did such a good job. Wot a bottle of local rose and spend way to long watching the world go by.

Had the mixed grill for lunch - spot on. Also coffee was great, locally roasted beans and SA Milk!! Yum. Indoor/outdoor dining in this grand old pub in the centre of town. Large room out the back for groups

We were staying nearby in Auburn, and had a meal at the Pub on our last night. The place was humming, with locals, including the cricket team & supporters, and tourists like us. A great atmosphere, with friendly, attentive service, and the meal was superb. My husband enjoyed the best sirloin steak he's had in years, and the side salad,...

We stayed at the nearby camp ground as we are travelling through. Auburn is a lovely little town and the Rising Sun Hotel is a great place for a drink and or a meal. We did both. The waitress from Queensland was lovely, gent in the bar was friendly and had a sense of humour, and the meals were very...

We stayed here for one night recently. We arrived early and where quickly provided a room. The room was small, dark, cold and in need of refurbishment. There was an small ensuite which did not have a door separating the toilet from the bedroom, which was less than ideal. Initially there was problems getting the A/C to work, but the...
