My wife and i again had the pleasure of staying at Blue Shades Motel and continue to experience the unbelievable hospitality of the new owners. The honest friendly service makes you feel you very welcome, the accommodation is fabulous, quiet and spotlessly clean. Cannot recommend this Motel highly enough.

Our stay at Blue Shades was excellent. The room was large, the bed was comfortable and the service was fantastic. We found that Michael and Kelli went above and beyond in their willingness to be helpful and interest in providing the best possible experience for their guests. The pool was a nice spot for a refreshing dip and had the...

Stayed here for up 3 months for work heading back home on the weekends. The new owers took over late dec 2016. They have changed the place around in a short time. Really enjoyed my time there in the last weeks. The breakfast is so good in the dinning room that just open. The chef does a good big breakfast....

Location was excellent. Managers Kelli and Michael were excellent. They've taken over in late 2016 and still finding out about the place. Booked into a family is room however was noisy so when I approached Michael he immediately upgraded our family to loft room. No questions asked. Rooms were very tidy. We wish them well with their enterprise.

Thank you for your review, helpful feedback, and wishing us well for the future. Following your stay we put in a brand new, split system air-conditioner in the first room you stayed in, so its lovely and quiet now. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks again, and all the best to you and your family.

While enjoying a week-long sightseeing holiday in Queensland directly after Christmas, I happened upon the Blue Shades Motel. Luckily they had a vacancy so I booked a room for the night. That one night booking turned into 4 nights as I chose to satellite out of Maryborough to visit Hervey Bay, Fraser Island and Tin Can Bay. I also took...

This is a great hotel. The service was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were very clean and fresh and whilst getting a little old in looks it was still perfect in condition. Extra large wide single bed in addition to the Queen which was a surprise. The singles are usually small. Overall very good.

Great location opposite the real old Queenslander Hotel 🍻🍷The Lemington. Very friendly and obliging owners Harry & Glevervive. We had a one bedroom suite in the "Business Class" block 👍🏿 very clean and tidy - the only thing missing was a kitchen sink 😹. We enjoyed this motel so much and the history of Maryborough we extended a further day.

The motel is over priced for the age of the place, it is past it prime, but it is still a nice small tidy place. Is a little overpriced for the size and condition of the rooms, but its location close to the Bruce Highway is it's draw card making it a good choice for an overnight staff when travelling...
