Popped in for afternoon tea, unfortunately run out of scones so couldn't try the Devonshire cream teas. With its lovely views over twofold bay, I would definitely like to come back to try their bistro for lunch or dinner.

The Seahorse Inn was an unexpected pleasure set in a place that could be described as paradise opposite Eden on Twofold Bay. Our Garden Room was clean, roomy and comfortable. The manager who turned into the barman and waiter, could not have been more thoughtful or charming. Dinner was delicious and portions were just right. The continental breakfast included in...

The location is really beautiful and from outside the hotel looks very nice. But the rooms are not comfortable and the bathroom was awfull. We had to chage the booked room because the linen was not clean. Cleanliness is a big problem. Staff is more or less incurious.

We stopped by on our drive to Melbourne to see if they had any rooms. We were expecting the price to be extremely high based on the look from the outside (beautiful grounds around a historic lovely building). We were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable price for the 1 bedroom suite which had 1 queen and 2 single beds (perfect...

Whoever now owns this place has given it a good spruce up. Twenty years ago it was run down and an embarrassment to the historic site. Today, all is well maintained. The site is pretty spectacular, fronting a fine lawn (replacing the croquet pitch) which leads down toTwofold Bay; across the water, about 7 km around the bay by road,...

We booked this hotel and then nearly cancelled it because of a poor review and we are glad we didn't cancel. The room we had (room 5) was spacious well appointed with a lovely view out to Two Foldsbay. The setting and the ambience of the hotel was so special that we ate outside both nights overlooking the lawns and...

The Seahorse is a carefully restored historic building on the edge of Twofold Bay. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the restaurant offers a good menu. Staff are friendly (though perhaps a little too informal and a bit hard to find at times). The grounds are spacious and welcoming....

This place is best described as "Faulty Towers" - The staff here including the Manager, would be better suited to a Fish and Chip Shop. Ask for the menu and get some laminated sheets on local history and accompanying lecture - Wait at the bar for staff so you can order a cold drink. When staff eventually show up I...

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. We had a long drive to get to it (on recommendation) and it was worth passing all the motels to get to - lovely rooms and nice food and very good value considering the great location.

We enjoyed the Seahorse Inn so much we came back for another couple of nights - would have made it three but it was booked out for a wedding. This time we had a garden view loft, Room 3, which is very private with its own staircase and no rooms either side but, unlike the ground floor room we stayed...
