Reviews summary

Meliá Lloret De Mar is celebrated for its prime location, a short walk from local hotspots and a bit of an uphill return, and its sophisticated charm. While guests relish the clean, spacious rooms with modern touches, some have issues with noise and temperamental air conditioning. The hotel's service is generally lauded for attentiveness, yet occasional slow service has been flagged.
Despite the comfortable beds and varied amenities, the ongoing renovations and a compact gym have been noted. Travelers appreciate the overall cleanliness but often criticize the value, finding some services overpriced.

I would recommend this hotel because of the excellent staff that works there, always trying to make the client feel satisfied. The hotel, as its name suggests, is in Lloret de Mar, it is a five-star hotel, its location is privileged, as you can breathe tranquility, comfort and disconnection. They have made a great investment in renovating it, both in the rooms, hall, pool, garden area, etc... and they have left it beautiful, I write with knowledge of the facts because it was previously the Gran Hotel Guitart Monterrey and I have been client for ten years, until it closed due to the Covid pandemic and had quite a few deficiencies in recent years. I could currently define it as an elegant and exclusive hotel in Lloret de Mar.
The hotel has only been open for two weeks and it still has some things to improve as it is still being filmed, but the team of professionals they have is ten, I'm sure they will get it soon.
The room is very good, with amenities in the bathroom, it had a shower and bidet. The cleanliness is excellent and there is a fresh fragrance throughout the hotel.
The food is a buffet for breakfast and dinner, you can eat a la carte at midday in a restaurant in the pool area, and in the Freu restaurant, I think they will open it in June.
Breakfast is very complete, every day. The first day we were not convinced by the dinner at the buffet, my wife commented and the next day everything had improved.
A violinist played music at breakfast and jazz at dinner. There is still the possibility of breakfast and dinner on the outdoor terrace.
The price of parking is €21 per day, which I find a bit high, taking into account that at Meliá Villaitana it is free.
About 500 meters away is the Costa Brava Casino, in case you want to visit or play, it does not disturb the tranquility of the hotel at all, being far away.
It is especially worth highlighting the Level team with Javi and the speed in solving doubts or problems and the interest in satisfying the client, also the two Alexandra and Vanesa. It is worth mentioning Luis Carlos, the waiter at Bar Gaia by the pool, as he goes out of his way to serve customers. the waitresses in the Level area dining room Vanesa and Tania, the entertainers Nacho, Edgar and the Guest Experience Elena, in the treatment they give to the client with all kinds of explanations.
I would recommend this hotel and I say this because we have booked for next month, so we will repeat.

Hotel is situated in a quiet area and has recently been modernised to a high standard.
We stayed in a family room with a huge bed and a pull out sofa bed in the adjoining area.
The staff and cleaners a very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help you,
Pool area is huge and plenty of sun beds for everyone.
Breakfast was a standard continental, we didn’t have dinner so can’t comment on the food .
Overall we had a nice relaxing stay but the weather was terrible. Rained a lot.
Improvement suggestions,
Family room sofa bed area needs a fan on the ceiling as the air con does not cool that area .
Bigger plates to eat off for breakfast and English pork sausages would be nice as the sausages were terrible.
Disabled access to the pool as I watched an old lady struggling to get up and down the steps . Possible outside lift .
Thank you.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the tranquility of our location and the high standard of our recent modernization. Our team is delighted to know that the friendliness and helpfulness of our staff made a lasting impression. We appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the air conditioning reach in the family room and have taken note of your suggestion for ceiling fans. While our gastronomic experiences typically receive high praise, we regret that the breakfast selection did not meet your expectations. We're always looking to improve our service culture and will consider your input on the breakfast offerings. We also understand the importance of accessibility and are exploring ways to enhance pool access for all our guests. We are pleased that, despite the weather, you found your stay relaxing and enjoyed the spaciousness of our family rooms and the ample pool area. We are hoping to welcome you back in the future. All the best. María Jesús, Guest Experience Manager

Very positively surprised when we arrived, we disappointed shortly after, effectively found that the rating 5°°°°°°° is far from justified.
Indeed even if it is a general reflection of the hotel, quite a lot of finishing leaves to be desired, also a hotel said international but which speaks only English and Catalan, not too international. the room Ok finally the bed, can see almost no storage, see 3 hangers!!! and 3 drawers!!!, for a week of vacation it is a little fair, when on television do not talk about it!!!
On the restaurant side, no salt and pepper on the table, no carafe of water, hot dishes are just warm, you have to keep the same cutlery for example for breakfast. Surprise if you want to park your car in the hotel itself you have to go in your pocket and it costs 126 euros.
Pool service more than very light I stayed there once in this hotel but not two and would not recommend. For me limit 4****

We spent a few days with the family and I will highlight recommended improvements as a customer of the chain.
The breakfast a la carte is not so because you end up paying for the service and taking anything from the buffet.
The water they offer bottled in glass is simply refilled from the tap.
The cleanliness of the rooms leaves much to be desired and late.
The quality of the dinner does not represent a hotel of the presumed category of this, I prefer that instead of razors with dirt put mussels and do not have to waste food.
The hotel does not provide the services it advertises on the website, it is still under construction, floor 2 unfinished, the spa unfinished, in gym obsolete.
I hope it will help us to improve constantly.

Just back from a weeks stay at Melia Lloret de Mar. We had booked The Level and this proved well worth it. When we checked in we received a warm welcome and a cold drink and were given information about how the level lounge works, and wristbands which showed we had access to the lounge. The wristbands also double as your keycard, which was great as you didn't have to remember to take a key with you. The room was lovely, forward facing on the second floor, it was bright and spacious, when we first arrived it had two beds pushed together, when we wanted a double bed, but within an hour that was changed to a double with a different mattress. The bed was huge and so comfy we never wanted to get out of it !. The rooms use a card which you have to insert in order to turn on the lights etc, you have to remember to take this out if you go out as normally it would also be your room key, but the wristband is the key when staying in a Level Room. The breakfast was really good, a huge choice and again some nice extras if you are a Level guest. The pool was nice, surprisingly warm given its size and we enjoyed an afternoon reading books and having a dip. There is a bar and restaurant poolside which looked nice but we didn't try. Location wise it's a 10 minute walk to the seafront down some windy lanes with bars and restaurants - its uphill coming back but its not steep. The staff were very helpful and engaging and gave us recommendations for places to eat, booked restaurants for us, helped us get the bus to Barcelona and Tossa de Mar and organised a picnic for us when we were going out early before breakfast. There is still some work going on in the basement area (I think on a spa) but it didn't disturb us at all and there was no obvious sign of it while walking around the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back next year.

I stayed at the Melia Lioret De Mar with my family at the beginning of June 2024.
The holiday was beautiful from start to finish and this is due to the lovely, kind, attentive staff at the Hotel Melia.
From the start of the holiday the older gentleman who collected our suitcases and delivered them to our rooms and who also offered his assistance throughout our stay - we could not have asked for better service and a warmer welcome.
The reception staff were also attentive and no problem was too big! especially Nadia at the reception who was kind enough to assist my father with the Netflix issues he had (during the only rainy evening of our holiday) .
The lovely hostess Diana who welcomed us every evening in the restaurant - and also provided guidance on how to get travel into Barcelona (we were not aware that a direct bus service was a stones throw from the hotel)
Maria the waitress in the restaurant who assisted my mother by preparing a decaf coffee personally when the machines weren't working (going over and above) and Luis and Clara who worked in the pool bar and made an effort to remember our preferred drinks and were always so welcoming!
The entire hotel provided a safe and warm environment in a gorgeous location with beautiful rooms.
The outside facilities and pool locations was beautiful and the energy from the aqua fitness instructor was charming and created a lovely fun atmosphere!
I would also like to make a point of highlighting how lovely the male pool life guard was and the lovely laidback atmosphere that they created, this was in comparison to when a different life guard was on duty and made it their responsibility to tell people where they could lounge (even though this was not indicated on the loungers or anywhere in the pool area, everyone had previously been allowed to lounge as per their preference and this specific life guard did create an awkward atmosphere and made several holiday makers uncomfortable) a part from this incident with the female life guard the entire holiday was beautiful from start to finish! I will recommend the Hotel Melia Lioret De Mar to everyone I know!

This hotel is not considered a 5 star hotel.
The service from reception was not very good, we arrived at 15:30h and the room was still not prepared, we were delivered at 16:00h. The pool is not very big and we were only for a while because they had to disinfect it and closed it. In the room we had a leak that made a puddle right in the hallway of entrance to the bathroom, coming out of the air conditioning, we went to reception to get it fixed and after 4 hours had not solved it, we had to go again and finally repaired it. Breakfast and dinner buffet very varied and good. The spa was in the works. Air conditioning in loose restaurant, we spend hot.

I recently stayed in Melia Lloret De Mar and would highly recommend it.
Check in / Check out: Check in and check out were easy and seamless. All staff behind reception were attentive and friendly. A special mention to Jamie who was great!
Room: We had a pool facing room and it was amazing. It was bright with great A/C. The bathroom was large and the rituals shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash and body lotion were a great bonus. Another great bonus is the excellent standard of hair dryers ( coming from a girl with long thick hair - it was a salon standard hair dryer). The best feature of the room for us personally was the choice of 3 different pillows for the bed. This was a a real touch of class as well as providing a dressing gown and slippers for everyone.
Pool area: The pool was brilliant. It was lovely and large and there was never any issue getting a sun lounger. What I loved was the towel service but specifically the size of the towels - one towel covered the majority of the sun lounger. The bar service was good and the pool side staff were excellent particularly the entertainment manager and the lady with the braids who performed the aqua gym class! Their energy was unmatched.
Breakfast:
Breakfast overall was of an excellent standard. There was a large array of fresh fruit, salads, and hot food including pancakes and waffles. An added bonus was the huge array of breakfast options for gluten free individuals. This was incredible considering we found the town of Lloret de Mar itself had a poor selection of restaurants offering gluten free options.
Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to stay in Lloret de Mar. It’s 10/10 from me.

We had a Meliá room which has no balcony or terrace would recommend upgrading
the rooms are modern the bed was very comfortable and the choice of pillows great best nights sleep I’ve had on holiday ,nice bathroom small mini bar draws and hangers for clothes
Really nice pool area plenty of sun beds never struggled to get any .pool bar lager strongbow and cocktails selection of snacks like nachos club sandwich pizza.onsite restaurant we had breakfast and evening meal the food first few days was warm but found it then to be cold which was disappointing even arriving at 1930 when restaurant opened soup was lukewarm
Only some of the food was labeled in English so hard to know what you were eating we ate out after the first few days.we found the reception staff very welcoming and nice although check in took ages needing each person to sign in rather than one person per room found bar and restaurant staff quiet rude and abrupt could be waiting a while at pool bar with no acknowledgement and restaurant staff only interested in people who was spending money on drinks even water in restaurant charged at 3.50 euros
Location good few mins stroll brings you to a row of bars /cafes and the casino which you can go in just need ID we visited had a nice meal as a birthday celebration
Good 10 mins walk to beach
Taxi from airport 65 euro one way pre booked via hotel
Love Lloret de mar would highly recommend the resort and area
I would not rate this hotel as 5 star but 3.5 stars if I came back would choose a different hotel

It's delightful to hear that you enjoyed the comfort of our beds and the variety of pillows, ensuring a restful night's sleep – a core part of our room experience. We're also glad you appreciated our pool area and found it easy to relax and enjoy the sun loungers. The gastronomic experiences at our hotel, from the pool bar snacks to our diverse breakfast offerings, are designed to cater to a range of tastes, and we regret that not every aspect met your expectations. While our reception staff strives to provide a warm welcome to all our guests, we're sorry to hear that your check-in experience fell short of our service culture. We also take note of your comments regarding the attentiveness of our bar and restaurant staff and will seek to ensure our service is consistently friendly and efficient across all areas. The entire team really hope we can welcome you back on a future occasion. Kindest regards, María Jesús, Guest Experience Manager

Our stay had some positive aspects and others that could be improved. The reception was excellent thanks to Juan who quickly escorted us from the main reception to the Level reception. Level's service is impeccable, but there are several points to consider:
A 5 star hotel should offer valet parking, something that is not available at this hotel.
The room is comfortable, but the finishes are not up to par with a hotel of this category. The towels, bed, sheets and shampoos are high quality, but the toilet paper is extremely rough.
Dinner was disappointing. The presentation was messy, with unlabeled food and a chaotic layout. The desserts were out of stock, there were few options and they were not labeled. I confused a lemon pie, which I don't like, with a cheesecake. The Level area needs better service.
Breakfast was better than dinner in terms of variety and presentation, but service was very slow. It took us 40 minutes to receive some pancakes and yogurt with cereal. In addition, the pancakes were spread with jam without asking our taste.
It is inconvenient that Level guests are required to carry towel cards at the pool.
We were not offered the option of a late check-out.
The entrance of the hotel looks like the back, with machines visible and maintenance workers circulating, giving it the exterior appearance of a 2-star hotel.
The outdoor terrace of the Level area was messy and only had one table.
There are several construction defects that should be checked. My bathroom had a broken tile in the toilet area, which gave a feeling of dirt and neglect not befitting a hotel of this category.
Although there are more details that could be improved, these points would already contribute significantly to improving guests' stay. I wish you the best in this new stage.
