Visitors to Hotel am Badersee can enjoy spectacular views of the Zugspitze massif, Waxenstein and the Alpspitze from the moment they arrive. Situated on a small lake directly at the foot of Germany's highest peak, this is a place for relaxing and feeling right at home. This alpine hotel's 136 single and double rooms all feature the standard amenities of a four-star hotel. Visitors can choose from lakeside rooms in the "Seehaus" or the mountainside accommodations in the "Landhaus". The whole hotel was expanded and completely renovated between 2012 and 2015. In addition to 136 brand new guest rooms, the hotel also boasts a Landhaus spa with a number of unique highlights. The hotel offers 22 conference and group seminar rooms equipped with the latest technology for business visitors. All of the rooms are grouped around the new conference atrium. Integrated presentation technology and a complete set of audio-visual moderation equipment are sure to make any event a resounding success. During breaks and in the evenings we offer our guests countless opportunities for relaxation in this remarkable location nestled between the Zugspitze and Lake Badersee. The German Business Travel Association (VDR) awarded Hotel am Badersee its "Certified Conference Hotel" status. The hotel is known for its exceptional gastronomy. Our guests can choose from a number of culinary delights and enjoy their meals in the rustic "Werdenfels" restaurant or the adjoining winter garden, which affords a breathtaking view of the Zugspitze. As a "Certified Green Hotel" we take special care to offer dishes made with local ingredients or products that have only traveled short distances. The kitchen has its own butcher, who prepares fresh game right on the premises and has developed his own "dry aged method" for premium quality cuts of meat. We also have our very own patissier to pamper guests wishing to indulge their sweet tooth with handmade delicacies. In addition, the hotel offers a selection of rooms for banquets and private celebrations of all kinds. The large fireplace in our "Seestuberl" vaulted cellar is the perfect place to bring a successful conference to a close. The new "Talstation" is another attraction open to guests. They can choose from an impressive range of premium quality spirits or order the immensely popular "Halbe" half liter of beer - the ideal way to ring out the day. A welcoming fireplace and a 60-inch TV featuring Sky Sports Channel make the evening complete. Anyone wanting to relax and unwind will appreciate the unique new sauna and spa, which was built in 2012. It is the only one of its kind in all of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the vicinity. In addition to a saunarium with mild temperatures, the spa also features a large Finnish sauna fully enclosed in glass, providing an unencumbered view of the Zugspitz massif. A 15-sqm snow grotto is the perfect spot to cool off or engage in a lively snowball fight. An open fireplace in the lounge warms the body and lets guests leave their worries behind. The area surrounding Grainau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen is also a popular destination for weekend travelers, anyone looking for a taste of the region, wellness enthusiasts and winter and summer athletes of all kinds. This is the place for anyone wishing to experience the breathtaking nature and majestic beauty of the Alps. The Zugspitze, Kramer and Waxenstein offer enjoyable hiking, walking, mountainbike and trekking paths and motorcycle routes in addition to the ski slopes.

The hotel is located on the lake and has a wonderful (short) walk around which can be done in under 20 mins at the shortest route. The hotel has a terrace and a large inside restaurant area. The menu is usually served for lunch times (12.00-14.00) and a dinner service, and

This hotel is in an amazing setting in the Bavarian Alps. The view from our room, 282, is beautiful. It looks out upon a beautiful mountain that is very close with a pond below. The hotel is newer, comfortable and designed to fit into the forested environment with “green” decor

Very good location close to the Zugspitze. The hotel is lovely located to a small lake. The rooms are very comfortable. The restaurant is very good as well. Only disappointment: the gym room is too small: only 4 machines.
